I think UCONN is going to be a problem going forward. Danny Hurley can coach (and recruit).

More of a problem is finding 1 big for the following season.  Not worried about losing Cain, as you can play Akanno or Perez at the 3.  Yes, it would be nice to get
a small forward but there will be a couple of 100 of them in spring transferring.

Marquette has reached out to Louisville de-commit Bryce Hopkins, four-star 2021 forward out of Fenwick HS in Oak Park.

Were we one of his finalists the first time around?

No, but he made his decision around 9 months ago.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Is this your source? Or was it written somewhere? Thanks for posting.

So Kentucky, Duke....Illinois, Seton Hall, Marquette, Oregon....Mizzou...Nebraska, DePaul.

Interesting list.

Saw him as a freshman against my old HS. I don't remember how he did but for once I wanted to be able to say I saw a potential recruit way back when.

I think UCONN is going to be a problem going forward. Danny Hurley can coach (and recruit).

Both the "Danny Hurley Coaching Genius" and "Bobby Hurley Coaching Genius" myths already have been exposed on Scoop.

It doesn't mean either will not turn out to be very good, it just means that neither has proven enough to be held in any higher esteem than, say, Wojo.

Galway- if OPRF and Fenwick could keep their star players for 4 years, both teams would be rolling. Hopkins will be an exception from recent years.

Mizzou was in the thick of his recruitment the first time around.

No surprise there. How the heck did Madison worm their way in his final 4?  I didn't think they had anything open for the '21 class.

Very disappointing a kid so close to Mu campus and with a lot of high major offers, and we whiff completely, not even a finalist.

He's going to Maryland.  Makes no difference whether he tells us no today or in a week.

Auburn, Madison, Maryland and Memphis.  At least UW fans will be able to recycle old posts about how he couldn't get into UW and accusing other schools of cheating when he decides to go elsewhere.

He's not an idiot, he saw who we got in this year's class.  Three guys with more height and skill.  I still would have liked to get him.

Breaking news on Graham!

Still no indicator on where he will go, but Wisconsin has officially been named his second choice.

And when he chooses Maryland it'll be because:

A. He didn't have the grades to get into Wisconsin
B. His father got paid by Under Armour
C. Gard cooled on him
D. All of the above

The Big East

I think Graham would fit well in the Badgers system and get a lot of minutes there .

Maybe. Could be in the next 2-5 years we look back on his recruitment and go "wow, why weren't we on that kid more." Also could be he ends up at Maryland or one of his other finalists and has an unspectacular career and we go "huh, I guess that's why we weren't quick to offer him." Or somewhere in between. Time will tell.
