Have an ominous feeling about 2021 recruting..hope wojo can snag a stud or 2 :-X :-X

People thought Wojo not only couldn’t produce the results when he was landing quality top 100 recruits, but that after the Hausers wrote a letter he would no longer be able to land highly ranked recruits. And then after Stan left people said he’d never land a single high level recruit.

Hopefully your bad feeling for 2021 is about as accurate as Wojo responding to the above by landing Garcia, Lewis, Oso, and then Carton.

Looks like we can forget about Graham and Joplin. Maybe Hunter is still in play. Maybe

No big deal on either of these. MUCH MUCH bigger fish to fry than either of those two.

Like the kid we hosted on Senior Day and we didn’t make his top 10?! How many of these blue plate specials do you honestly think we’re going to land?  We have 5 open scholarships to fill. There was room for Graham especially. He’s holding these offers from all over the country because he’s obviously very good.

Everyone talks up next years freshmen, and I’m excited about them too. But Wojo couldn’t get past signing those three, and has had to feverishly work the transfer market so we’re not short handed and an injury or two from having a decimated roster next year.

Every program in America has been and will be utilizing the transfer market.

Fake news.  One of the mods said his suspension ended in late may.  He has probably just taken his ball and gone home though.

And it wasn't political stuff.

You have to remember, all of these schools that have offered, not a single one of them has seen Graham play in person, they have offered because of his film. I'm guessing a vast majority of those offers are not commit able right now, or it's probably fair to assume he would be committed right now. Wojo and Gard have both seen him play numerous times, and neither has offered.

Kendall Brown
Malakhi Branham
Carter Whitt
Mac Etienne
Eric Vander Heijden
Stevie Mitchell
Tyrese Hunter
D'Marco Dunn
Samson Johnson

That's 9 guys right there(and there's more)..I'd be shocked if MU didn't land at least 3 of these guys if not 4. By that point, there likely won't be much left for 2021 anyway, so you take a transfer who in all likelihood would be more talented than Graham anyway at worst he will be more experienced.

I'll say it again. Even with 5 scholarships I doubt we fill them all if transfers aren't required to sit out. Impossible to keep 10 players happy let alone 13. I figure we'll go with 11 quality guys and a couple of preferred walk ons who will be happy to get the last scholarship(s).

Even if we wiff on all the 21 targets there will be really good players available in April. I think the portal is about to hit 800 players. That's with most expecting to sit out a year because of transferring. I highly doubt that number will decrease. Most, maybe 90 percent aren't P6 level, but there's a lot of quality to go after. I definitely see rising juniors who don't qualify as grad transfers hitting the portal hard. To transfer going in to your senior year having to sit a year doesn't seem worth it. If you are free to go a lot will.

Kansas, NC State, Creighton, Louisville, Auburn, LSU, Arizona, Creighton among others are in the NCAA sights. By this time next year most of them can be on some sort of probation with most committing worse penalties than OK St. Will their kids/signees stick around? And yes I know how slow the NCAA moves and how inconsistent.

I guess this is my long winded way of saying don't worry. Long time before we need to put a team on the court for the 21-22 season. We'll be fine and also won't need to rely on freshmen.

Haven’t followed much lately - any somewhat recent update on Mane? I know he’s currently in draft, but still assessing options? Not hopeful, but sure would be nice to get with with one of the two openings.

Who was the scooper who had some inside info on Mane and the last I recall said that Mane was still a strong possibility?
Has that scooper's opinion changed?.....forgot who it was.
