Always be recruiting.  Carton could very well be gone.  Greg has yet to put together a full healthy season.  Perez and Dex are (largely) unproven at this level.  Sy showed flashes, but didn't exactly tear it up last year.  If these players are scaring off any recruits, those recruits probably wouldn't be good enough to cut it anyways.

Really like Hunter to be the next recruit, I think his upside is huge, not only is he quick, he can jump out of the gym

With Warley out of the picture my top 3 in order of preference and/or how I would prioritize would be:

Kendall Brown
Malakhi Branham
Mac Etienne/Carter Whitt

I pull full court presses on these guys and IF you can land 3 of these guys...then I'd "fill in" with a guy like Vander Heijden or anyone else really. Maybe leave one scholarship open

Sounds like Artie Green 2.0.

Maybe, unlike the original, he'll even occasionally go to class!

Four-star 2022 player, Perry Smith (@PerrySmithJr2
) has told me that Texas A&M, #Marquette, and South Carolina have been in touch the most with him. He wants to take an in-person visit with #TCU, #LSU, and the programs mentioned.

Stevie Mitchell cutting list to seven Tuesday. MU expected to be on it. September secision.

They were also expected to be on Warley's list. I'm still stunned and shocked by that one. Mitchell would be ok as their 4th or 5th recruit.

Were we mentioned a lot with Warley?

Why was it a big shock we weren't a finalist?

From everything I understood, they had a very good relationship. They also offered earlier than every one of his finalists. Then there was also the fact he took an official to MU last year.

I was very Keen on Artie Green. The Grasshopper was very enjoyable to watch.

Based on the full games I watched him play,  I think Tyrese is more like a pre injury ridden Duane Wilson 2.0. Definitely a young man who plays the game to win and incorporates his skill as necessary.

Would be delighted if MU signed Tyrese.

I have never seen Tyrese play. If he's good, I hope we sign him.

Pre-injury Duane would be great.

Artie was an amazing athlete who could jump out of the gym, but he was pretty overrated as a basketball player. We were led to believe he would be outstanding, but he ended up being barely OK: 6.5 points, 2 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl for teams that were disappointing. Meh.

But he did occasionally have a crazy-exciting dunk, and we all loved those.

If we get Tyrese, I hope he's better than Artie was.

Now, Sam Worthen ... he's another story. Loved his game!

Tyrese is much better than Artie, Artie was strictly a playground baller,  had no shot what so ever.  He definitely was an explosive jumper, Tyrese is a much better all
around player that has hops and quickness, and a pretty good looking shot that still needs work but is 2 years away from playing college ball.  He has some of Artie's
explosiveness.

Yep. So it's a good thing that a lot of really good players apparently have dug Wojo and da horse he rode in on, including the top-20 recruiting class he has coming in.

Warley eliminating Marquette doesn't bother me.  I like Tyrese Hunter as a player over Warley from what I've seen on video.

things definitely looking better by the day. Louisville seemed to be a potential game changer; Pettiford 2021 PG all but certain to commit to the Cardinals in coming days

Mitchell's list was originally going to be 5 not 7. Villanova offered him yesterday as they have been making a big push with now Jay Wright recruiting him directly.

Four-star junior Stevie Mitchell is down to seven finalists, he told @Stockrisers
: Stanford, Villanova, Temple, Marquette, Miami, Georgia Tech, and Saint Joe's.

Stevie Mitchell had a big junior season. He averaged 22.3 points per game with 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.9 assists. Team was going to do damage in playoffs until Covid shut it down. Ended with a 28-1 record. Him and Hunter would be a dream guard class for Marquette. I think he will end up at Nova but is really someone I don't want to see in Wrights system.

Definitely can see how any score first guard would want to play for Marquette after the green light Markus and Rowsey have gotten.

wadesworld

Marquette doesn't develop players.  The players develop on their own time, with their own trainers.
