Hopefully our excellent shooting track record under Wojo combined with the Markus role opening up, and Wojo's personal DPOY (Mane has said a goal of his is DPOY) win out in the end. This is a super important recruit, difference between potential for good and potential for great next year.

And possibly the difference between Wojo being at MU next year and not.

He's such an important recruit that new posters have joined Scoop just to push back against the Nojos. Can't risk Mane reading so much negativity about Wojo.

Mane at best is a one year player. Greg, Koby and Dexter have already used a redshirt year, so they are not likely to transfer.

Realistically, I see a starting line up of Koby, Mane, John, Garcia and Bailey. Given that only Cain and Symir are transfer risks and currently they both look pretty happy to me.

Hope Mane plays for at least 3 years.

Let's maybe just hope he plays for Marquette.

@EvanDaniels: Marquette currently has the No. 10 recruiting class in the country and the No. 1 class headed to the Big East. They are looking to add to it too. Here's more on @FS1's Inside The Big East: https://twitter.com/EvanDaniels/status/1217092144101494786/video/1

Like him talking about this in interviews too. Daniels seems to usually stay pretty quiet on a lot of this. First time I remember him talking about Symir was the day he committed. Not saying we are at that point, but a lot of indicators that the visit went REALLY REALLY well.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Marquette's class is the top-ranked class among Big East programs.
Xavier (#15 overall) is second, followed by Butler (#20).

I mean for all intents & purposes it went pretty much as well as possible, definitely everything I was hoping for. Big win against a top 10 team, Markus went off, crowd was packed & rowdy, and the weather was relatively mild for January (especially vs. Montreal). I hope Koby put the hard sell on playing with a Canadian compatriot, and the staff emphasized the Markus role opening with a good mix of returning upperclassman role players + a top incoming class. A lot to sell, I hope he sees the opportunity and takes it!

Whether you like Wojo or not....PLEASE STOP TWEETING at accounts with recruits copied that you dislike our coach and that he is not good. Embarrassing look for the program and not a message we want to send to recruits.

Grow up.

Seriously. First rule: don't tweet at recruits. Second, no recruit cares what you think--don't be the creepy AF IU fans.

I'm at a loss to think people actually do this.  I passionately hate ND, but don't put anything on their boards/accounts.  A new level of stupid has been achieved!  It's flat out embarrassing.

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

People are doing this?  My God.

Interesting. Meyer and Daniels usually wait until the last minute. I get the marketing tool, but maybe there's something to this.

When it comes to MU/UW/WI kids Jerry also tends to mirror what Mark Miller does.

While I still think this season will end up decently for the program - a Mane commitment to this class would go a loooooong way in easing my tension for the future. Have to think we'd finish with a top 6-7 class in all of CBB with Mane.

Marquette will have one hell of a great team next year with Mane committing.

Question for the recruiting gurus around here... when I looked Mane's ratings are all over the place... from 5 star to 3 star? I am reading it wrong?

There is. Look at the kid's comments lately, which are widely public. To guess him to MU isn't a "wow", but a "duh"

He was a bit under-the-radar for a while I believe and blew up. Most of the recent rankings have him 5 star and the best player out of Canada.
