I wasn't inferring you don't like him. Merely stating he has plenty of time to gain weight.

Sibley might be similar to McKay in girth, but I hope as hell he has more common sense than McKay.  Good God he was a train wreck.

In what way?

In what way?

The deal with quitting the team after the Marquette Madness scrimmage was bad enough, but some of the crap he pulled at Iowa State was unbelievable.  I'm not going to go into those things, but just immature stuff you shouldn't tolerate in a 21-23 year old, especially one with professional ambitions.

From a senior on a top 20 team.

More questions than answers.

The simple answer is that McKay wasn't worth the headache.

Thank you captain obvious.

But he is skinny. He'll need to add a lot of strength to compete with college players.  Maybe he can get there in two years, maybe he needs 3 or 4.  We'll see what the future holds.

Kevin Durant couldn't bench press 185 one time at the NBA Combine.

Most of us could do that on old man strength alone.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Stan was at the Spiece Run-n-Slam in Fort Wayne yesterday. Got to see Rocket Watts drop 46 points in a game. Here's a write up from Corey Evans: https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/spiece-saturday-scouting-notebook?guccounter=1

QuoteWhile his shot selection remains a work in progress, Rocket Watts' toughness is not in question. A top-75 guard that has a tremendous first step and quality body control at the basket, Watts showed the ability to score from all three levels on Saturday. Toss in his energy in guarding the ball and what you have is a two-way threat that has cemented his standing as one of the top guards in America, of which was proven with his late night 46-point outburst to end the day.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Some MU recruits invited to Team USA U18 training camp:
Mark "Rocket" Watts
Tyrese Maxey
DJ Carton
Also, some guy from Texas that MU cooled on.

I think it's safe to cross Maxey off the recruiting list for MU.

Great to see Carton and Watts playing well enough to earn this opportunity

Made step one. Next step is being one of the 5 official visits.  Gotta beat the big boys for this one. Could really use an FBI bomb in Lawrence right about now

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

We got any real shot at this kid??
