The point guard well is very, very dry.....

But two blue chips just came on the market in the last week, so options are popping up.  Plus the grad transfer wave and coaching carousel will be picking up in the weeks ahead.

Top 100 pg decommits from Arizona. Seems like most of the schools on his list were west coast so not likely for MU, but someone to keep an eye on. Miller had to retract his salary offer maybe?

Paging the guy who got one really good guard to change his commit from an Arizona university to Marquette ...

Even though Diener isn't on staff any more, does anyone know if he helps out with recruiting still? I could see how a guy like Diener's opinion could help sway a player, specifically a guard. I assume that's allowed, but then again, with the NCAA, it may be against the rules. Does anyone know?

You can't have alumni recruit for you. That's how we ended up with this gem:

Lots of concern with what schools may have issues in 19 for scholarships/coaches etc.

AK switch to class of '18 is predicated on finding a school that they see as a "good fit".

There is interest in MU.  Looking to get a visit arranged.

Stan working contcats in AZ as well.

Looking for that final piece for big run next year.

Eke's back is responding well.

Are any of the other unsigned guards on our radar now? The only one I see us having ever had any interest in is Courtney Ramey, who decommitted from Louisville in the fall. I'm not sure that was ever very serious, though. He looks like he could contribute a lot as a freshman.

I haven't seen anything that would give me hope, but I'd love to see Wojo throw his hat in the ring for Anfernee Simons. It sounds like he wants to go pro, but I haven't seen his name in any mock drafts. It's late in the game, but if Hagans doesn't work out, maybe a late push could get us in the running for Simons.

Ramey seemed like he might be headed to Villanova, but I doubt that happens now that Nova has a commit from Jahvon Quinerly (former Arizona recruit).

Missouri seemed like a school he was interested in, but Mizzou got a commitment from lower ranked Xavier Pinson from Simeon in Chicago.

Maybe Ramey is just really taking his time now, maybe something has schools backing off.  Maybe Ramey decides on Mizzou and Pinson opens up his commitment, MU could do worse, according to Chitown, Pinson's stock has been rising through out his senior year....

The one certain thing seems to be there hasn't been any buzz about Ramey and MU for some time.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Tucson Star reported today that UA recruit Brandon Williams Los Angeles point guard said on Twitter that "he was reopening his recruitment because of the 'current climate' with the UA program.'" He was the last member of a UA top 5 2018 class.

Mizzou is full court pressing Ramey as has been Villanova. They have turned a corner with him and his dad. They were previously not in the mix. Villanova and Mizzou are the two schools I hear the most for Courtney at this time. Ramey plays a round of 16 large school sectional against CBC this Wednesday night. Mizzou, Illinois, and Minnesota were at his last game.

Also in that area, Mario Mckinney will be playing a small school round of 16 sectional this week. And EJ Liddell will be playing a round of 32 sectional in large school Illinois ball.
