Someone should remind him that outside of Andrew Wiggins, KU's crop of NBA players is pretty unimpressive.  They've got a few more end of hte bench types than MU, but Marquette's NBA talent is far superior to Kansas' at the top.

The KU fans must not know that MU is in New York like 3 or 4 times a year, KU plays a bunch of teams in cities just like NY, like Stillwater or Manhatten, Kansas that is.
Do get to go to West Virginia and Ames.  big cities as well.  They can sell the history of Kansas which is great, but where they play, is nowhere to get excited about.  Phog Allen Field house is classic, but will not compare to the Bucks new NBA facility.  Even Grimes did not realize the facilities MU has, had to be an eye opener.  Plus
next year at the arena should be pretty full with bodies since the Bucks will be pricing themselves out of the marketplace.

Convert Eke to LDS and send him on a two year redshirt mission.

I actually came up with something better, and it involves Ike.

So we're too thin up front before Froling is eligible to redshirt Ike so he plays this year.  Next year we're too deep up front for him to find time so he gets put on the Sacar plan and would redshirt anyways.  According to Dodds, he has a background in soccer which is why his footwork/foot speed is so good.  So, since he wouldn't be eligible to play next year anyways, we remove him from the roster, put him on scholarship on the soccer team and have him play a year of soccer while just working out for basketball, and that opens up Grimes's scholarship.  Then the following year he's back on basketball scholarship and ready to contribute.

What about Thon and Delly paying for Froling's tuition?

How could I forget the pro athlete will pay, angle?
O.J. was more than happy to pay for Todd.  Same with Lic Richard and Joel Embiid, and now Thon, Delly and Harry.  Why don't we just ask Thurl to pay for Brendan, I'm sure he won't mind.

Embiid?

The Morris twins, Gooden has had a good career, Paul Pierce just retired and is a HOFer, Kirk Heinrich had a nice career, Josh Jackson has an incredibly high ceiling, etc.

Oh yeah I forgot about Thurl.  Don't forget Giannis was willing to pay for Kostas but Wojo didn't want him.

This is really just too elaborate when Wojo adopting him would have done just fine

You quoted the only poster who really ripped on Marquette.  It was immediately followed by someone saying "Please, if Grimes goes to Marquette people will see him play and people will care. That's a good fan base."

Kansas fans are confident because they are used to landing players like Grimes and because they have a successful program.  I didn't see much arrogance there.
I agree with this analysis

Didn't Herro and/or his dad threaten to go to prep school this year if Whitnall didn't fire their coach last spring, which they did.
If true, this is just another contributing factor in Wojo's disinterest it would seem.

Cheesy, did you really do that?

Yah, he's a good player, and very exciting but not ready to crown him anything special with less than 50 career games played.

Romeo Langford is taking his official visit to KU this upcoming weekend. Not sure if this helps, hurts or irrelevant. When QG visited KU, Dotson committed and I am sure they had the spin team on it for Grimes. I don't think QG will commit this weekend but something to keep in mind. I think Kansas might want Grimes to decide sooner than later so they know how to sell it to Langford

I'm probably going out on a limb here, but Kansas sucks. They are consistently overrated and suck in the tournament. Bill Self is well documented scumbag coach. They turn all 4-star and 5-star recruits into 17 current NBA players, 14 are solid journeymen.

Also, Jeff Withey is a bitch.

That said, I'd take their history in Milwaukee anyday. Except Jeff Withey.

Are we talking in general or under self?

I remember not too long ago I stated Kansas was underperforming for a blue blood and that self was not as good as people made him out to be. I got crucified on here for that so just FYI it's not a popular opinion.

I thought people were saying that Herro is going to go to prep school for a year and then to a blue blood? If that's true then it makes sense why Self and Co visited him.

It sounds like the concerns that would've pushed Herro prep have been taken care of. At least from what I've heard he likely is staying 2018.

Mostly under Self. Hated him at Illinois, still hate him now.

From a KU b-ball site:

The KU coaches, who, according to Matt Scott of TheShiver.com, made the trip to Texas shortly after the Border War win over Mizzou on Sunday, have been ultra-aggressive in their pursuit of Grimes, whose mother attended KU, and, according to several reports have told the talented shooting guard that they believe he is the best guard in the class.

"Grimes had a great time during his visit to Kansas with his family," Scott wrote Monday. "And he plans on announcing between now and the end of the year. Texas, Kentucky, Marquette and Kansas are the schools Grimes is considering, but Kansas is the run-a-way leader at this point."

This article short quoted Matt Scott. A couple sentences later in the article they are quoting he went on to say "I do think Texas, Kentucky and even Marquette pose a threat to Kansas and could make things interesting"

Translation: I'm going to tell my fanbase what they want to hear, but cover my bases because I don't have any definitive information on where QG is going.

Kentucky waffling on QG position is a good thing for us. When it comes down to evaluating pluses and minuses. That will be a negative.

And here is what Devon Dotson had to say when he committed to KU:

"They had a priority for a point guard, they are losing [Devonte] Graham, so they needed a point guard," he added. "They believe in me and will put the ball in my hands from day one."

Hmm, maybe Self is telling everyone the same thing?  I'm sure Grimes is thinking about that.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)
