Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer, but doubt this will help our cause.

Will have approximately zero affect on QG.

Not to be picky. Today is an exhibition game, not a scrimmage.

Same thing, both mean nothing.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

QG must have had a layover in Chicago. He is in ORD now. Getting out just before the weather comes in

When I went to Marquette we didn't have shootings near campus, and ignoring it won't magically mean it didn't happen either. And what evidence do you have that QG reads Scoop let alone gets all his news here?

So if you think Grimes reads Scoop and you think there’s something that would prevent him from considering MU, your reaction is to go and post about it where you think Grimes reads it? That’s just great stuff.

Also, news flash, there have always been shootings near MU’s campus.

I sure  hope you aren't a Marquette grad. I would hate to think that they awarded a diploma to someone who didn't know how to spell the word "you".

Are you kidding me?. This is a message board not a dissertation. It's about getting your point across. Especially in the age of cell phones.

Funny thing about text speak (I don't have a problem with it) is that when I text people my age, everyone uses proper grammar, while my parents are the one who use shorthand while texting.

When did you go to Marquette, in the 1890's?  Even Teddy Roosevelt got shot on MU's campus in 1912, right where Schroeder Hall stands now.

Roosevelt got shot where the Hyatt is now.  I think you're confusing it with the spot where Lincoln gave a speech, which is indeed where Schroeder is.

But the point stands that Marquette is way less dangerous than it was when I went there 30+ years ago.

TR's shooter isn't still on the loose, is he? If so, that could drive away recruits.

Any chance we can take all these campus shooting posts and move them to the Superbar?
Or just, you know, drop the subject entirely?
