My bad.

Sheesh.

The worst part about that drop is what an incredible throw it was by Keenum under pressure.  That and a handful of other throws/reads he made reminded you that "oh its nice to have a 3rd string QB who has 65+ starts in the NFL and not a random inexperienced practice squad guy".

You mean ignoring the fact that your OL has been getting worse every year and letting (admittedly not good, but still...) guys walk to sign for $4MM while you pay what had been a middle of the road guard $80MM to not play and then rebuilding your entire OL after week 3 with unsigned old guys isn't a good way to build what is the most important position group on a football team?

You don't say.

The NFL has informed the Los Angeles Rams that the pass interference penalty on Josh Wallace that defined Sunday night's loss to the Denver Broncos should not have been called.

I wish Detroit was being as aggressive trying to fix their secondary as GB has been bringing in linemen.

You'll meet your match this week. The Panthers just lost both starting CBs - real good players. And that's on top of numerous injuries at other positions.

Violent freakin' game.

Roger Goodell and Bears minority owner Pat Ryan met in Chicago today with JB Pritzker and some key state legislators. Notably absent: Kevin Warren.

Yeah, I would guess that Kevin will move on once this deal is done. I also think that the McCaskeys may cash out at that point as well.

I think you're right on both points.

Warren is you're next WNBA commissioner.  :D

CBS says goodbye to Tony Romo.

It's really cool to see how well things are going with Rodgers and McCarthy.

Buyer's remorse. You could see this coming back in August.

I wonder if another network (Amazon?) will give Tony a shot? I'm unsure, since all the shine from his early days in the booth is long gone.

That was my exact read as well.  I loved early Romo, deserved every penny of his insanely lucrative deal...but he's not the same captivating/entertaining commentator.  Some of it is his fault, some of it is network/producer feedback, but it is what it is.

If CBS can save a third of that $72MM over the next 4 year, that's a win considering they are excited about Watt and are ready to move forward with him as the #1 anyways.

I doubt Romo ends up elsewhere. Hes not gonna get the top chair, marquee spot at a big network. Amazon isn't gonna toss Herbstreit for a Temu version of Romo. It's not like Romo grinded for 5 years post NFL to a lead gig like Olsen cause he loves it and wants to stick with it, so he'd go to another network on a lower commentary team.

He's made $250MM+ between the Cowboys and NBC.  He was playing a Q School pre-event this week.  Dude is gonna spend the next 3 years prepping to make the Champions Tour in 2030.

MU82

Herbstreit just signed an extension with Amazon, so there isn't gonna be an opening there for Romo or anybody else.

Aaron Donald out with back spasms.

Who would have guessed that a 35-year-old lineman playing against maulers 10 years younger after having not suited up for years, would not have a smooth road back in un-retirement?

I heard he made them a superteam unlike any teams we have in major athletics in America right now. You know, their last SB appearance being 5 years ago and all.

I do get the hype. It's how things work. And the Rams will probably still be really good.

But it was just so silly to expect The Greatest Ever stuff from an old team that has to play the Niners and Seahawks twice each. I'll get a kick out of every loss.

You can't complain about booing and then drop a TD catch as easy as that.
