If we're being honest, that was an a$$ whipping tonight.

jesmu84

Rome Odunze was a top 10 pick.

Sheesh.

Dish

It's not out of the realm of possibility that this Eagles team is bad.

Their two wins were less than impressive against two bad/terrible teams, and then they got hammered tonight against a third string QB.

Philly is almost as soft as GB.

Quote from: WhiteTrash on September 28, 2026, 10:22:10 PMSo was Loveland.

What's the comparison?

Loveland is arguably top 5 at his position in the NFL.

Rome isn't in the top 10, 20, 30?

5 receptions and 34 yds in 3 games.  ::)

Actually, I think both are good. It is way early in the season.

There are lots and lots (and lots) of reasons why the Eagles deserved to lose. But when you fall for the ol' "we ain't snapping the football so we'll try to draw em offsides" scheme, you REALLY deserve to lose.

That's like an MLB baserunner falling for the hidden-ball trick, which no one has done since Pee Wee Reese executed it.

But good on the Bears. And helluva game for Keenum. He made a coupla throws that were close to pick-6s, but he also made numerous excellent passes and was in command all night. I thought Johnson called a good game, too - put his players in position to succeed.

I'm not making my statements based on small sample size of the 3 games so far this season

Since you are, I understand why you'd push back

Eagles:
-Only team not to force a turnover
-4th fewest sacks on defense
-Most 3rd down conversions allowed in the league
-Worst offensive play action success rate (by a mile) in the league
-3rd quarter success rate 17.1% (!!!), easily worst in the NFL (NFL average is 46.5%)
-Worst EPA performance in 4 years

Keenum more passing TDs than Drake May.
Keenum more rushing TDs than Saquon Barkley,
;D

They haven't faced a murderers row or anything, but that Bears defense is really looking good.

Both sides of the balls seem stuck in the recent past. Hurts doesn't like playing under center, so they will never have a good play action game. On defense, Vic got worked last night. He's never been guy who liked to bring pressure, but that's the trend.

The NFC East is weak and the Eagles still have talent. And Hurts has a knack for pulling out games in the last two minutes. I could see them winning a weak East at 9-8 and being the #4 seed that gets hammered in the Wildcard.

The talent level is nothing special, so I'm sure that will bring this unit back to reality over the course of the season. However, the coaching is really solid. Dennis Allen is not a HC, but he is a very good DC. Al Harris might be the best secondary coach in the league.

Last night, Barkley was killing them in the first half with the outside zone. I thought he was going to run for 150+. But, the Bears made an adjustment at half pulling their ends in and it stopped the Eagles 1st down run game completely.

Both sides of the ball made some incredible adjustments between halves.

Not something bears fans are used to

Still looks like 'Targeting' to me. The defender touched Mahomes. 15 yards and player ejection.

My first thought was taking the Packers out of prime time.

Apparently only 1/4 the country was getting the Packers / Bears because the Seahawks and Niners were in the same slot. Now 1/2 the country will get them.

And yes, my guess is that the Brewers will play at 3:00.
