Quote from: Dish on October 04, 2026, 10:47:46 PMTotally valid on the Bears defense, they've had the benefit of playing three straight terrible offenses. Flip side being at least they did their job against those teams. Had they given up 20+ to all of them, I'd be more worried.

Especially important the last 2 weeks cause its let a backup QB led offense start slow/fail to execute in spots but not fall completely behind.

But this will be the first time they face TS28. I like the packers chances.

From Yahoo Sports:

Kenneth Walker III's 537 rush yards are the most by any player through four games in the last 15 years, and he's just the fourth player in NFL history to rack up 175+ scrimmage yards in three of the first four games in a season. Since last November, Walker has won 14 consecutive games, claimed Super Bowl MVP (the first running back to do so since 1998), signed a $43 million contract and emerged as an early OPOY frontrunner.

From me:

I thought it was important that the Seahawks keep Rashid Shaheed, even if it meant that they wouldn't be able to keep Walker. I figured that they could draft somebody who could team with others to do what Walker and Charbonnet did the last couple of seasons.

Looks like I couldn't have been more wrong. More importantly, it looks like John Schneider couldn't have been more wrong; he has slightly more say on the roster than I do.

Schneider should probably be fired so he can come home to Green Bay.

I think Josh Allen is incredible, and he would be on my very short list of candidates for the #1 pick if I had to draft a team of active players to win immediately.

However ...

He has thrown five interceptions and fumbled seven times in his last five games.

Most of the time, he makes up for that stuff by making great plays. But sometimes - as in the playoff loss to Denver and this past week's loss to New England - he can't.

Like even the greatest GMs in sports history, he's had a few bad calls to go with all the good ones. I think we in Seattle will hang onto him despite him maybe making the wrong call on Walker.

The Eagles are in tank mode.

@AdamSchefter
Trade: Eagles are sending two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

The Athletic has an article highlighting a few stats (good or bad) for each team so far this season. Here's what they posted about Green Bay ...

The Packers offense goes three-and-out a league-high 45.5 percent of the time. The offense ranks 32nd in rush attempts and rushing yards, and the team has the second-most penalties in the NFL with 42. They also lead the NFL in the percentage of pass attempts with under 2.5 seconds to throw.

Seems like the right move. They are a win now team and the offense has been meh.

Yea, kind of a no brainer really.  Pretty sure this was the first time in his career that Payton wasn't the play caller on offense.  Sure, Webb is his protege and could still become a really good OC, but they have the all the skill players back from last year, plus traded a 1st and a 3rd for Waddle, and it's a bottom 5 offense thus far, in both points and yards.  They've played 4 good teams, fair, but yet a totally reasonable take for Payton to realize something isn't working thus far.
