I have a mile walk back to the car.  Deal with it.
1. Matta would not let Screen face Ben. First time they were on the floor at the same time was the 1130 mark of the second half.  Exactly two minutes game play.  Then again at the end.
2. In the first half, Butler fans around us were in awe, as their team 'never shoots like that.'
3. The defense was much improved for a while in the second half.
4. Kam's 4th was a kick in the nards.  Right call.
5.  How about those sophomores?
6. Stevie continues to climb the list of my favorite all time players.
7.  I trust Shaka's halftime adjustments.
8. MU won.  Hinkle is awesome.  Only about 3/4 full.

Winner for the sinners and beat KenPom prediction.  Not bad for a clueless team

Is MU better with Kam on the bench?

People are asking questions, doing their own research.

Interesting it wasn't full. Sounded loud.

Feels like we're almost overactive defensively to start games/first halves. Overhelp, get into rotation, give up open 3s and cutters for layups.

Great second half. Great contributions from the bench/sophomores. If those guys continue to play like that we have something.

CountryRoads

Thought it was a great game all around. Sophomores were awesome. Second half epitomized what this program is about. Should be an electric game Saturday night.

The Sultan

I'm sure the game topic was full of rational basketball thoughts.

Overwhelmingly

Uncle Rico

Meant to put this here:

Butler scored 27 points in the second half.  It was 51-50 when Kam picked up his 4th.  27-19 after that.  Marquette equaled Butler's second half total in closing it out.

Vander Blue Man Group

Really thrilled with the way Tre and Zaide played.

Wouldn't be surprised if Zaide makes a huge leap next season.

MarquetteDano

Really liked how well bench played defense when Kam was out. Rebounded well and good D. Some decent offense from them too.

Vander Blue Man Group

Also, can't til Saturday - will be the first game of the season for me.

fjm

Great play overall. Stevie looked great.

Chase is so aggressive, which is awesome, but missed some fairly easy shots at the rim tonight.

Loves the effort in the second half.

MuggsyB

The adjustment Shaka made in the 2H was attacking the paint.

GB Warrior

Stevie is elite, but it's a bit sad we don't get one more season to appreciate how far Jop has come defensively.

MuggsyB

We played a much more intelligent 2H.

Jop and Benny have been very very good defensively on the interior of late.

Problem is, the bigger boys are coming.
We will see how they do against the interior size in the next 3

How do we get out of the gates more quickly Dr.  V?

Great question Muggsy

I have to think about it.

I've got a question for you-
How does Shaka always seem to fire up a nice 2H run?
It's as if they go down at half but you just know it's coming

wisblue

Good to see that the team was able to add to the lead with Kam on the bench for several minutes.

But I wouldn't want to make a habit of that along with the habit of falling behind by double digits in the first half. That isn't going to cut it in the second half of the conference schedule

GoldenEagles03

Ben had 0 points, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, but to me it felt like he had great impact defensively as a rim presence. He altered at least a handful of shots that I can recall and then cleaned the boards after the misses.
VIOLENCE!

I think they missed at least 2-3 blocks for Ben.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

If that's true, it the most impressive 0 stat game I've ever seen.

Big Papi

1. Stevie is my mvp of this team. Great defensively. Has become aggressive offensively and is scoring. He is the heart and sole of this team. He is a winner deserves to be first team all conference
2. Gold defensively was very good
3. Glad to see Zaide and Tre have success. It is needed going forward

JakeBarnes

Loved the heart in the 2h. Team got the chip on their shoulder that I've felt has been missing this year.

Great minutes for the sophs. Love what Zaide and Tre gave out there. Getting them in a little 1 on 1 situations boosted both their confidence and it showed in how much they attacked on both ends.

Even the limited 2h Kam had a bit more bounce (quick trigger transition 3, great drive, using the hoop to screen more).

Extra milkshakes for Stevie though. Or days in the ice bath given how that one went. True warrior.

He did good. Weird matchup for him tonight.
