Bald Eagles are absolutely spectacular.  Tremendous members of our animal kingdom.  Salmon would disagree of course, but we should all admire their badassery.  The good news is they are thriving and coming back strong.

Eagles best contribution is doing skeet shooting with them as the target.

Honey, I am just yanking your chain.  I think bald eagles are magnificent. I have a few that occasionally like to hang out in my yard in Wisconsin, and I feel incredibly grateful that they do.
Have some patience, FFS.

Thank you.  I hoped that was the case.  They truly are magnificent and I'm happy you get to see them up close.  They have thrived in Wisconsin over the past 10 yrs.

Can we please stop politicizing every topic here?

The best way for that to happen would probably to perma the constant offenders.  The message would probably loud and clear after one.

well, maybe two.  But then some of my fun would reduce here.

The last time I was in Alaska, the bald eagles up there were like seagulls on Lake Michigan.

They could stand to be thinned out a little.

Chick, your position is respectful to those eagles that don't don't like the term "bald" and prefer to be known as thinning eagles.

As my father used to say, God only made so many perfect bird heads. The rest He had to cover with feathers.

The Zambian elephants have suffered  incalcuable trauma far beyond our comprehension.  This incident is being investigated and condolences to the human family.  That said, elephants almost never mindlessly attack humans or flip over cars unless they feel threatened.  Now, maybe this particular elephant had a false perception, but it's important to let the facts come out.

Its important to shoot first, ask questions later so those fat blundering beasts cannot strike again.

Interesting conundrum in Florida.

If an alligator enters your property and threatens your well being, you have to call a Florida Department of Conservation officer to remove it/dispose of it.

To do otherwise is a Class C felony that could get you sent to the pokey for quite awhile.

But if a human being enters your property and threatens your well-being, under Florida's stand your ground laws, it's perfectly OK to deal with the matter yourself.

I guess this exists because we still have more people than alligators in Florida (but the margin is closing fast).
