Mail in voting for me. Very convenient.

Reportedly an average wait time at the polls of two minutes in GA today. I hope nobody was too dehydrated to vote thanks to JC 2.0

Glad the wait times were short. Sounds like the Georgia legislature and governor passed an unnecessary law -- government overreach, pushing a solution that was looking for a non-existent problem.

It felt very good casting my vote today. A lot of smiling faces at my polling location. I always love to see happy, positive people that are excited to cast their ballot.

Same, I'm 99.99% certain that the person in front of me, and behind me in line were voting for completely opposite candidates, but we all had a good and pleasant conversation while waiting in line.

Or the issues from last election were fixed.

Has Stacey Abrams conceded from last election yet?

Florida runs clean and efficient elections that the rest of the country could learn from - basically all votes counted 2 hours after the polls closed.

Couldn't every state easily decide to do this? Is there a reason some might not?

As usual, I was a 2-minute man tonight. Walked in, immediately had a booth opened up and voted. Bounced. So easy

PS if you wear an I voted sticker after voting u got problems

Polls closed at 7 pm in Nevada.  At 6:58 I saw a campaign commercial on TV. Who is that ad aimed at? The last person in line at the polls that happens to be watching TV on his phone?

ETA:  They just showed another one 30 minutes after the polls closed.
Have some patience, FFS.

Media buys can often be an imperfect art.  Sometimes they will slot a buy for a network from 4-8PM or the like.  And so an ad will run a number of times in that period.  So you buy the time to get the slots early in the window, knowing some will fall after.

Sometimes, especially with digital, it's a week long buy.  So you'll get sports related ads, for example, after a game already happens.

Also, sometimes they just screw up placement too, especially with local ads that are shoehorned into limited slots in national programming

Nope, and she obviously should have.

But what really sucked was the way she fomented a treasonous, lawless, violent, cop-injuring coup attempt at the Georgia Capitol.

It has nothing to do with being "clean and efficient."  Florida can run mail in ballots through scanners before the polls close. State law in places like Wisconsin doesn't allow for that.

So what's not "clean and efficient" about getting 99% of 7.6 million votes accurately counted in 2 hours?

Meanwhile, Arizona expects to have their votes counted by Friday.

Yes, the law allowing mail in ballots to be tallied prior to the polls closing is a good one that I wish other states would copy.

I'll give you efficient. But of course that's mostly due to differing state laws.

But there is nothing cleaner about Florida elections. That implies that other states are dirtier. Not the case.

BTW, what a waste of time, money and angst this entire election cycle has been to end up with something similar to what we had before.  I guess the Presidential election process will start next week.  ::)  The European parliamentary system has never looked better.

Everyone needs to take a break. Shut off the cable news. Go for a walk. Hug your friend who votes differently then you, grab a beer, and bitch about the Packers.

It was rapturous today to see commercials for a Casino, furniture store, prescription medicine, and the Good Feet store in a bloc.
