Just finished binging Severance.

Wow

Really hope they know what they're doing and it doesn't end up like Lost

Wow

I know, right? That finale was the best “edge of my seat” hour of television I can recall. I can’t wait for S2.

Anyone watched Fauda?  It's an Israeli show on Netflix. I've flown through the 4 seasons this winter.  Really enjoyed it.
We binged on it. Couldn’t stop watching

One thing Succession does so well, the shot of Colin the security guard on the tarmac after the plane landed, absolutely slayed me.

Beef - on Netflix - is outstanding.

Apparently much of the heart of that episode was filmed in one 27-minute take. It really was very well done.

I'm not sure everyone watches the "inside the episode" features after the credits on the HBO shows, but they are really outstanding.

As we were sitting there getting ready to watch the episode, I turned to my wife and said: "He's always good, but Brian Cox has been especially incredible so far this season."

And then ...

Finally watching Severance. 4 episodes in. Very intriguing. Great acting.

Bit of a slow burn on the plot but I hear it really pays off as the season goes on so thats encouraging that I am already into it.

They do a great job with pacing. They give you enough each episode so that every episode is satisfying but also leaves you wanting more

Yup its also nice that while theres mystery as to what is fully going on, its not some complete mind fu ck of a show that is impossible to follow.

Also appears the episodes get a little shorter after the first 3. More consistently in the 45 min range.

It's definitely not a show you can watch while looking at your phone.
Have some patience, FFS.

Just finished the latest Ted Lasso episode.

This season has had moments but I gotta admit I'm underwhelmed. Still time to turn it around, but it just feels kinda lazy.

Thought yesterday's Ted Lasso episode was the first good episode of this season.

I'm not sure this would be a spoiler since it's opinion/speculation, but I'm curious what others think about Rebecca's phone conversation with the doctor. My daughter and I had completely opposite views on what happened there. She felt that what they showed was completely unambiguous. I thought it was very ambiguous and a classic example of misdirection by the show (somewhat akin to, "if you don't see the dead body...the person is not actually dead.")

Air was solid. Not sure they had the right actors to play realistic rolls (did not look or sound anything like Sonny Vacarro, Jason Bateman acted exactly how he did when he was playing Marty Byrde, etc.) but it was good.

Looks fun, one of the main things I heard was that it has an awesome soundtrack if you like 80s/90s music.

Haha yes that was a comment I made at the movie.

I’m an 80s kid and loved the music and all the references. I quite liked the movie, but I also thought it could have been a little more meaty. The characters were good but a little surface level play on some looks/mannerisms type of acting. Viola Davis is a gem. I would recommend Air.

Barry is back. And as good as ever.

Hader is an incredible director along with his acting.

May 28th will be a massive day in TV when both this and Succession air their series finales.
