1.  I love MU's work Athos.    Just keep grinding.    But Steele's boys played their Part-hos well.
2.   I thought MU was 3 happy.    They have been doing a really good job lately of working through their offense and getting good looks.    IMO, they settled a little bit today
3.   Stevie and Kam are going to be just fine.    Stevie is playing great defense.    Kam may be too comfortable shooting, but you live with it.    As soon as Stevie starts hitting jumpers and Kam develops a conscience.    And another year in the weight room.   Freshmen guards, in a conference rematch against a ranked team stepping up.    Everybody gets excited about Jones and Ross next year.    They are going to have to work to get PT.
4.   No fear.   Self belief.
5.   The second time through the league is going to be a battle.     Neither team had many surprises.   MU with 4 guards.   Xavier with face guarding everywhere.   Both teams adjust quickly
6.  Xavier has a whole bunch of guards who are built like Morsell.    Old guards who have spent a lot of time in the weight room.
7.  Lewis is better when he attacks and doesn't settle.  Double double.   Grown man game.
8.   When Xavier is never called for fouls, it is difficult to send Marquette to the line late.    Karma
9.    The gauntlet has been an opportunity for greatness so far.

Gonna be sad when Justin declares for next years draft.

Haven't read the game thread to see if it has been discussed, but could those announcers be any more in the tank for Xavier?

Also, YEEEEEAAAAHHHHH!
Have some patience, FFS.

It'll be the right call. He's gonna have success at the next level too.

Trust Shaka to reload.

PGsHeroes32

Hopefully Justin really loves it here and wants to just play for a 1st round gurantee next year.

Also, Kams wild shots drove me nuts for a bit but his lay ups..........sweeeeeeeeeeeeet
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I never got an answer to my question of who the color guy was.  Crazy that an announcer is old enough, or should that be young enough, to chose his basketball number because of Travis Diener.

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Held Xavier to 8 points in the final 11 minutes.

There will be stretches of bad defense, but the good stretches are really good.

So, did anyone foresee 6 Q1 wins at this point?

Warning: I will cal you a liar if you answer yes.  8-)

Absolutel. After all he deserves one at least like Wojo-Dukiet had.

True about no surprises - can't recall a successful PNR with the big slipping in today.

Defense "travels."  Defense wins games.  Steve Lavin said MU has Elite 8 potential.  The quality of our defense and the coaching in general has been incredible to witness...perhaps in part due to seeing such poor defense and coaching the past 7 seasons.

We played our worst game in almost a month and won by double digits over the #20 team in the country. I take that as a positive. It's insane how much better this group is getting. The sky is the limit in a season where I thought any bit of success would just be gravy

The Sultan

Fun game with both coaches making adjustments and responding. Well reffed. They allowed them to play.  Love the way Shaka shows faith in his young players.

What a roll we are on. Six straight with 4 against top 25 opponents.

We played very well. I'll take that every game.

The team is playing well but I'd like to see the same comment if MU loses a first round tourney game.

Daniel

Tower all great points.  I agree especially on the 3-happy which is how we lost 4 in a row.   But driving and dishing works in freeing up some 3 opportunities.   These guys play very well together which is miraculous in such a short time.

Morsell with some great drives to the hoop, and Cam - wow in the lay-ups and the way-downtown 3!

Lewis is playing a man's game,
Go Marquette!
