Marquette opens PK vs. SHU
« on: January 14, 2022, 12:23:38 PM »
A true toss up. The spot favors SHU. I think the matchup favors SHU.

But MU has been the better basketball team of late.

How many points is "SHU is super pissed that they lost to DePaul" worth?
Have some patience, FFS.

Hopefully less than "Seton Hall is on less than 2 days rest from an exhausting game"
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

And less than "SH has lost all confidence in itself after getting its ass whipped by DePaul."
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Do we know if SH’s coach yelled at his players after the Depaul loss like Depaul’s coach yelled at his players after their loss to MU.

Willard-Gonzalez-Orr did yell at his players

I'm all in on Shaka, but the loss to DePaul has me a tad concerned. I will not be placing any wager on the Warriors tomorrow.

This is where Shaka and the boys show they are an NCAA team and get a big win at home.

we need to play seton hall like we're on a mission.  if sh wants to play pissed off, fine.

let's play like our goal is to make their coach yell at them AGAIN and make them cry.

SHU is the team I've grown to hate in the BE. Really hope we can get this one tomorrow. They've beaten us 6 times in a row.

I agree... this is the BE team to hate. Providence is a close 2nd due to Cooley's refusing to wear a hat.

I remember when the accepted wisdom was that he was a terrible coach who would never last.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Bad take, PJ. Cooley has a problem beyond his control, and he deals with it, openly.

I have no hair and wear a hat, not to prevent offending  guys like you, but because my head feels cold.

How many points is "SHU is super pissed that they lost to DePaul" worth?

I remember I came out pissed off during a race in college cause my last event sucked.

I spun my wheels so fast that I ended up finishing 10 places below my seeding.

Sometimes being pissed causes you to win big. But other times you press and F up.

I think chick is right, they will be pissed.

But here’s hoping they press too hard and F up. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I'm the opposite. The loss (and watching it) made me realize the ball gets stuck a lot in the SH offense. Hope I am right.

I would have been concerned if they managed to win that game too. They are the same team either way. That kid from Harvard has some wheels. Lets see if Morsell can contain him.

Seen SHU bet up in the -1 to -2 range. Clearly money is on the Pirates.

It’s settled back down at -1. Action Network is showing 72% of money on MU.

Did a two-team parlay on Moneyline with MU +105 and Oakland -245 for +189 odds.  Not a very confident wager of $100.  Made a lot on MU vs GTown and DePaul, confidence on those lines was very high.

My take on todays game is it's either a dogfight or MU wins comfortably by 10-15 points.  I don't see us getting beat by more than a few points if we lose.

$225 on MU ML for me but it’s more for fun than anything else. I do agree it’s going to be a close game so took a shot with the + odds.

Who’s on Rhoden and who’s on Bryce Aiken?
As those two go so does SH.

Rhoden avg 17&7 with his 6’6 210 frame, doesn’t shoot it well from beyond the arc but has greatly improved his FT percentage.

Aiken is a 6 ft speedster that gets a ton of FT attempts for a little guy and shoots nearly 90% from the line. He’s a very good 3P shooter but much worse at the BE level than he was at a lower level.

Seems like playing solid help defense and limiting the fouls and ft attempts and  forcing outside jumpers is the play here.

I would guess Darryl on the bigger Rhoden or possibly OMax and see how that goes. Is Kam ready for a savvy quick veteran like Aiken? I don’t think so. Can Kolek stay in front of him? We might find out.
Seems like another nice role for Stevie, maybe sprinkle in some Greg Elliott on him or even some Emarion Ellis to disrupt him with his length as the game progresses.

Terry plus help defense did a nice job on Aiken for most of the game.

I put omax on Rhoden most likely
