He played more Finals minutes than Markus.

He also played more Finals minutes than Steve Nash. What's your point?

Sam getting a 3 year 6 Million contract with the Celtics. 2 years are guaranteed.

Congrats to him. That is a nice show of commitment by The Celtics.

Joey show them how to fall down?

Nope, he's teaching the class on letter writing and general annoyance.

I think after his pro career is over, Sam will go into coaching. He was always talking to his teammates on the court at Marquette, as he had a 6th sense of the developing play. Announcers sometimes referred to Sam as the "glue guy". During his sit out year at UVA, I saw him sometimes jump up from his seat when the game came to his end of the court and start talking to UVA team, often pointing out an opponent about to make a move.

I rarely have an opportunity to attend a Marquette game but was able to go to DC for the Georgetown game in '19 when Markus had to sit it out the game after the first couple of minutes due to back spasms. To me. it was Sam's best game (yeah, the fact that I was there is a big factor in my statement) as Sam was the "do all" guy who guided us to a squeaker win. GT had a golden opportunity to win when, down 1 with about 10 seconds to go, they inbounded on their end of the court. Akinjo ignored Ewing's instructions and bounced off Theo in a laughable layup attempt, then fouled Sam on the rebound. Two free throws later, Sam nailed GT's coffin shut with just a few seconds left.

I get the anger at Joey but Let It Go! I think Sam should be remembered for all the good stuff he did for MU (remember the .8 second game saving shot vs. Creighton?) rather than trashed for a difficult decision involving family and the messy letter writing crap.

Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

How'd he send the strong message? Letter? Carrier pigeon? Singing telegram?

If the Celtics are serious about winning another title, they can't have a Hauser on the team. This isn't high school
