I want the person walking their dog to wear a mask. On more than one occasion, when I am out for my daily walk, someone else will turn a corner without taking a look first, or suddenly walk out of an alley without looking, and I might be right there. And sometimes they will make the turn and keep walking towards you even though they see you. Or they will come up from behind and pass me close by without either moving or giving warning so I can move.

While walking my dog every day, I witness people driving their car by themselves wearing a mask, or walking their dog in a quiet neighborhood wearing a mask, or taking out the trash bin wearing a mask.

Depends on your definition but I'd certainly categorize that at conspiracy theory-level (at least extreme disinformation & hysteria)... This is not The Happening, the virus is not just circulating with the breeze once you exit your house.

Not only that but cloth masks only provide about 3% protection from GETTING the virus... So even if it was circulating in your car as you drive alone, you'll be losing your sense of smell (or walking backwards?!) in a few days anyway.

Many people driving with a mask are going to the store. Better to have it on the whole time rather than forget to put it on when you get there.

Many people wear the mask to protect other people. Due to no worldwide testing, one may be asymptomatic.

I would never mock someone who is wearing a mask.

When the prez retweets QAnon, it is no surprise that his rubes believe this stuff.

You may have cause and effect mixed up here. Trump didn't create these conspiracy theorists. These conspiracy theorists made Trump, and have since been emboldened and amplified via his presidency.

Although I wouldn't go this route. For those that are at risk, wearing the mask the entire time is the correct thing to do.

Mishandling of a mask, and/or improper technique of putting it on/taking it off are one of the common ways of being infected.

I wasn't making a cause and effect case (just a flip comment), but your post is certainly correct.

We know.   And everybody knows his history.   To then throw 'unindicted co-conspirator' is unnecessary.

Murder of Chinese researcher in US on verge of major discovery?

https://news.yahoo.com/researcher-verge-making-very-significant-030320409.html

What's the conspiracy angle? CIA killed him to keep the data in the US?

Also, major discovery is likely a significant overstatement. He was a computational scientist. That type of work rarely makes major breakthroughs, as it is all in silico, and purely theoretical.

I would go with certain "elements" in the government want more people to die from COVID,  or for the epidemic to continue for control reasons or what have you.

The Sultan

Or China killed them because they don't want someone a cure yet.  They want Trump to lose the election and have a more "China friendly" president in place.

Or maybe they were Chinese agents.

This is all over my social media. How people just instantly buy into this type of nonsense is astonishing. Ridiculous accusations against fauci. Its all fake. Its all about making some money. World wide cover up. Does this not sound like any orher conspiracy. Unbelievable. Youd think people would require concrete evidence before buying into this horseshi t. Apprently accusations from a few weirdoes is enough though.

Good to see that Ryan Braun found something to do with his spare time though

I made it longer, but not much. There is so much that is demonstrably false in that video. What an absolute lunatic.

YouTube/social media shouldn't be censoring things like this. Dangerous precedent. Everyone should have access to misinformation

You joke, but that guy is going to find some other site catering to whackadoodles to post it and they are all going to sit around and circle jerk each other about their versions of conspiracies and alternative facts.    Better to have it out in the open.

Agree to disagree on that one.  Misinformation that gets people killed has no place on the most widely viewed video platform on the internet.  Better to have the true whackos have to hunt it down on a different place than where your mother might find cooking tips, and your child finds cartoons.

Simply having it on YouTube lends it an air of credibility.

I saw a great video of Alex Jones saying that after his food supply runs out in a couple of years, he and his family are going to start eating their neighbors.
