I’m sitting on an exacta Hovland 1st/JT 2nd wager (+28500). Still a lot of golf left, but my interest has been piqued.

It was a fun run while it lasted. Vik went for it at 14 off the tee where he’s driven the green twice this week, winds up in the drink.

Well done, MU. This will be your year!

Believe it or not, a friend of mine who died last year at 90 had shot his age over 1000 times when he went to that fairway in the sky. He was quite a player (first time he did it he was 66) but admitted the last 800 or so times were more a function of longevity than talent.

My great Uncle definitely was in the high hundreds of times as well. He was often a two time club champion, Chicago and Florida, in the same year. His daughter has one over a dozen times as well.

I think shooting your age should be every golfers ultimate dream. Have to live long enough and have game to boot.

People talk a lot about hole in ones but they’re mostly luck. Shooting one’s age is the ultimate for us super seniors.

My sister’s BF played for a 2 years at University of Houston before transferring to be the #1 at another smaller school. He’s now one of the top young teaching pros in the country. My college buddy finished top 5 in Michigan 2 years in HS and plays to a 1 or 2. Another HS buddy has contended at the Wisconsin Am and now works for PXG and plays probably 100 rounds a year.

Between them...1 hole in one. And that was my sister’s BF on a weird bounce off the fringe on a shot he pushed.

Meanwhile, PXG’s dad is nearly blind from macular degeneration and has a bad back which has him hitting woods on anything over like a 6 iron...has 3. And my other friends mom has broken 90 maybe twice from the reds but she has a pair of them herself. What a funky game

Tiger had a 20! year drought of aces in competition, which is just nuts.

I don't know what interest there is in golf betting, but with the re-start, and Illinois allowing online wagering, I opened a Rivers account and did well last week. I had Hovland each way, and paid out well.

This week, I really like Tiger, based on the value. If Tiger wins or contends this week, you won't be able to get him at this price again anytime soon. Rivers has plus money on head to head of Tiger vs Rory (I believe it was +135ish), and I like it. All the EW's on Tiger are discounted as well from typical Tiger pricing.

I'm going to play Tiger exactas as well, Tiger/Cantlay and Tiger/Dustin will be played (I believe both are  around +40000).

Field is really strong. I like not making the cut on Zach Johnson (+110) and Speith (+138).

Did you have to go to Rivers to open an account?

No, I was able to open it online. Their site could use some work still, it's not as clean as Bovada as an example. I think from previous posts you are in/around Kenosha, you'd just have to simply literally cross the border, and you can open an account from your phone.

The up to $250 match is a great bonus, there's no 25x rollover or any other crazy condition to it. I actually used the match bonus to my advantage last week. Once Hovland fell back a couple of shots, I live bet JT at -150 on the back nine. Since I had that wager on JT, once it went to a playoff, I put the entire match bonus on Morikawa to win the playoff (he was at +110), and it turned out great.

Koepka doesn't look like he enjoys playing with Tiger. Looking like me out there with two LBs and he's not even done with the third hole.

Koepka doesn’t even pretend to care about non Majors anymore, it’s both interesting and odd.

As I'm starting to wager on golf, it really hit me how poor PGA tour tournament coverage is. Last week was a mess with the weather and last round starting early, going with Golf Channel to online coverage. I don't know why the tour doesn't have an online/streaming option or it's own app where you can watch any pairing (with no commentary). For the amount of people playing DFS or wagering, trying to follow on Shot Tracker is absurd.

If you’re invited, or have an outing at the Kenosha Country Club, don’t go. COVID19 City.

It is going through a remarkable restoration thanks to Liz Uhilen. Trees are eliminated, Ross bunkering and green sizes are being restored.

Just wait til 2021.
