If it weren't so tragic, it would be pretty funny if Goose spent years claiming we were close to a recession when we clearly weren't, only to slide into one after he claimed "the greatest economy in the history of the world is on the horizon."

BTW, he said that just before saying "I hope that additional tariffs are not put into place," after he voted for a guy who promised to put additional tariffs into place.

A couple of things about the author:

++ He is pretty much a perma-bear. He's been dooming and glooming for at least a couple years now.

++ He pizzes off those on the right because they think he is casting the administration in a poor light, but he is a Republican who voted for the current president in 2016, 2020 and 2024, and often defends the administration's policies within comment streams.

Anyway, it's a data-filled piece that some investors and/or economy watchers might find interesting.

Maybe so, but he is going to be proven correct that the data coming out of the government will be as suspect as that produced by China.

I guess Goose was just ahead of his time on both the economy and governmental data.
