Almost sad that this thread title has now become a place of people sharing their fond memories of Andrew. Perhaps it can be parsed and made into Andrew's Legacy thread..

One of my favorite memories of him was the first time I literally saw him on the court.  I don't remember which game it was, but it was during his transfer sit-out year.  He decided to get into it with one of the opposing players.  You couldn't tell what he was saying, but he had stood up in his dress pants and V-neck sweater and began walking towards the player, mouth going the entire time, and a couple of our other guys had to hold him back.  I remember thinking, "I'm going to like this guy.  He's a scrapper."
Have some patience, FFS.

I believe it was LSU?

I thought Rowsey was a team manager.

I believe the player in question was Ben Simmons. To add to the story, Rowsey could not travel with the team so he had to buy his own plane ticket. Rowsey paid money to fly to New York just to trash talk Ben Simmons.

That's awesome.

Rowsey was standing up for Henry Ellenson, who was called for a charge on a pretty clear flop by Simmons. Watching 5'10" Rowsey in street clothes jaw jacking with 6'9" future #1 overall pick Simmons was awesome. Kid has always had stones.

I'm not recalling that.  Spectacular.  Somebody find and post that clip.

I think your going to have to find a VOD of the game, only thing out there is a bunch of chatter about it, no clip.

Rowsey is one of my favorite MU players along with Damon Key, Davante Gardner and Aaron Hutchins. All had weaknesses but all had heart and soul.

The way I remember it nobody had to hold him back. Dorris Burke was on the call and thought Rowsey was a team manager. She said a team manager was talking to Simmons, but it was really Rowsey.

Goose

During his year out, I remember being told by several former players that he was the best player every day at practice. There is no doubt in my mind that the kid was born to play ball. IMO, if he was piece of a really good team, he would have been a big time fan favorite. He was forced, and he forced himself too much, to be have endeared himself to everyone. Like I have said for two years, the good Rowsey is a lot of fun to watch.

Here's a bit of the old Twitter exchange. That moment was absolutely iconic for me in this kid's story:

The "3:51" on the bottom of his shoe...

What's the significance?  I can't recall this being mentioned, but my apologies if there is a 12 page thread on this elsewhere.

3:51 is a Jordan shoe line from Nike.

Take a look at the clock in the background on Jordan's dunk from the FT line.

MU82

Jordan's foot actually was on the FT line when he took off.

Reports that he leapt from behind the line ... fake news!

You know, Polaroid, it's like a thing.  Like your Xerox machine and Kodak film for your camera.
