NM actually came out sept 24 1991. A few days late. But I thought I would mention it.

Definitely a game changer with music in America. Nirvana's NM album was great.

(Gees Louise I'm bored... I have nothing to contribute...  ?-( )

"Blood Sugar Sex Magik" came out the same day and was better.

I was thinking salt...but sriracha would definitely send a message.  Or maybe Ghost Chile sauce....

Vacation to Cuba with diplomatic accommodations (but make sure you forget to pack the earplugs).

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Just hit a deer on a busy street at noon.  Seriously ticked.

It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for her.

Yes.  Yes it is better.  NM, is way more influential, but BSSM is a masterpiece for both the Peppers and Rick Rubin.  Not slighting Butch Vig or Nirvana at all.

This week was also the 25th anniversary of Core.  This is as much to do with who i associate with as anything else but i can appreciate the influence Never Mind had, i remember exactly where i was the first time i listened to BSSM and Core.

Also, if you've never done a tour through Rubin's catalog you should.  I've not toured all of it (i.e. his work with Beiber) but from DefJam through Johnny Cash it's amazing.  Neil Diamonds '12 Songs' is what woke me up to him being the genius vs the artist.

This.

Since Mt. Rushmore season is over, let's power rank Rick Rubin produced albums.

In my opinion in the mix are: Blood Sugar, License To Ill, Californication by RHCP, Jay Z the Black Album, Adele 21, Yeezus

1. License to Ill
2. BSSM
3. The Black Album
4. 21
