Jigs or Lindy Rigs for walleye.   Spinners for the big bass.   Spoons for Northern.   M-80's for carp.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Hot dogs for the catfish.  The crap generic kind, not Vienna Beef or Boar's Head.

I've really struggled to find good catfish.
Best fish I've had is definitely Grouper at the Salty Crab on Fort Myers Beach.

unfortunately, as you said "had"  you might have to put the salty crab in the column of victims of irma.  i hope not, but if it was a casualty, they are able to recover and rebuild along with all the rest of the people affected down there

I don't know if I buy into the hot dog hype completely, but one thing is for sure, hot dogs are much better than ND football players as catfish bait.

Might have to go to a Waffle House tomorrow for breakfast while in Charlotte.  Could be a fun plane ride home tomorrow.

The only time I ever went to a Waffle House was in Birmingham. My car was broken into in the parking lot.

I actually like Waffle House, except for the waffles.

I took two of my daughters to Waffle House this summer in Florida.  Their first time.  It was great.  Getting breakfast for three for a $20 bill (including tip) was pretty nice after a week in Orlando.

Best donut place you've ever been to?

For me, it was Red's Donuts in Paducah, KY.  Old school, basic stuff, but just phenomenal.

Fractured Prune in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Nothing else I've ever had is even close.

Tie between the District in New Orleans and Babe's here in College Station. I've heard Voodoo Donuts in Austin is legit but the line has always been out the door whenever I've swung by. Never been patient enough.
