I was walking through the paint department at Delafield, WI Home Depot yesterday wearing a "We Are Marquette" t shirt when a masked employee saw my shirt and asked "did you watch the football game today?"  Without the ability to see if he was smiling, I actually laughed (more so chuckled) out loud thinking he was needling me a little.  But, he went on to talk about the Badger game in a way that made me realize his question was serious.

I said no, I don't pay attention to college football, which of course led to his coworker joining in to tell me how terrible the Badgers played yesterday.  I went from being slightly annoyed to walking away with a smile on my face for a reason I'm quite sure they weren't aiming for.

I never understood the issue here.   Should people who didn't attend a D1 school not be allowed to be a fan of college sports?  As a Whitewater undergrad who attended before they became the perennial FB D3 power they are now, let me describe to you how awful those games are to watch...  Ah hell, actually even as a top D3 program the quality is terrible.

I think 59% is way low.  I would guess that the majority of UW fans did not attend UW-Madison.  And as the only FBS team in the state, that is perfectly understandable.

People that hate Bel Air are the kind of people who think that a taco plate costing more than $7 is blasphemy.

People that hate Conejitos are snobs who probably haven't eaten the food or made up their mind that it was gross before they enjoyed the incredible food.
