Demi sec is sweet, literally translates to "half dry".

Yes, "literally" but if you were paying attention, when referring to liquor, sec is translated as "distilled".  So...half distilled (and half syrupy goodness).

Or maybe distilled so we'll they don't have to waste time reworking it 5 more times.

It strikes me that All-American status is way too easy to achieve on Scoop.

Not sure if this was mentioned earlier but Poker Player Phil Helmuth's Dad went to Marquette Law School. Heard so did Katie Holme's Dad. Did he play Hoops at MU
Trying to get to the too easily achieved but much esteemed All American status

Hah, never really paid attention to that - it's the mark of those that signed up in our first few months of existence.  I think we had a plan for that - but who knows what it was at this point!

Gotta admit your Global Moderator status sounds awfully daunting. How does one moderate the globe?

I'm not a fan of White Claw, but just tried Crook & Marker hard seltzer and will say it's good.

Looks like we are all finally getting out dividends fellow Registered Users. Now quit my job, relax on the patio and wait for those Arby's coupons to arrive.

I was on a bike ride this morning among some farms south of Rochester. Suddenly, I looked to the side of the road and saw a bald eagle with some small animal it had just killed. It was literally 10 feet from me, and flew away when I rode past. I've seen them at a distance and soaring overhead, but it was truly amazing to see one up close. What an awesome bird.

That's cool.

Also cool: The eagle obviously believes in social distancing. That's a real American!

I think it might be a common phrase that people go "up north" to a cabin or something.  But everything can't be north of where you are.

Does anyone say they're going "down south" to their vacation spot?  And east and west kinda get jypped.

When I grew up my friends would all say they were going, "up nort", and that didn't make sense.  So I'd say we were going to my parent's cottage... because it was South.

Sure it can.

When I was growing up in the Falls people always mentioned going uptown if anywhere near the 4 corners, apparently the Falls had no downtown?

TAMU, Knower of Ball

A guardian angel was watching over me this morning. On the way to work, I wasn't watching my speed as closely as I should have. Nothing egregious, maybe 5-10 mph over the limit. So I was terrified when I realized that a cop had been hiding behind the median and had left his hiding spot shortly after I went zooming by. And this wasn't just a cop, it was a motorcycle cop. Whoever he picked out from the herd wasn't getting off with a warning.

There were a couple of other cars going fast around me, so I'm praying he doesn't single me out. But I watched my rear view mirror in horror as he weaves around slower traffic, into my lane, and pulls up right behind me. No question, he's got me. I had already started my turn signal to pull over when his lights came on....

....when suddenly some jackoff coming the other direction on a motorcycle decides to pop a wheelie and hold it for at least 20 feet while speeding, just long enough for the cop behind me to get a clear view of it. The cop veers into the far left lane, speeds past me to the next break in the median, and pulls an impressively sharp U-Turn to go speeding after the dumbass.
