Happy National Grilled Cheese Day everyone!

Here in MN, it's cold and snowy...a perfect day for grilled cheese and tomato soup....

I have discovered Ruffles All Dressed chips during quarantine.  Apparently they are a favorite in Canada, but I had never had them before.  Thumbs up.

Time to talk cookies.

My wife is a fan of Chips Ahoy and I find them to be crumbly and awful.

Is she just wrong or extremely wrong?

She is extremely wrong. The only decent  chocolate chip cookies are homemade, or at least from a good local bakery.

Just wrong. Chips ahoy carry some nostalgic value.

Matt's are pretty darn good for a packaged cookie.

But you are right. Chips Ahoy is a cookie of last resort.
Have some patience, FFS.

One of my faves is .. Costco makes a huge pack of chocolate chip cookies.  Those are tasty.

Agree that Chips Ahoy are extremely wrong.  But Oreos...now that's another story.  Definitely right.

Agree that chips ahoy are awful.

But I mean, soft batch are decent, right?

So I just read all these replies to her, and she singles out Rocky: "Soft batch are disgusting!"

How we've stayed together for 20 years is a mystery.

I've never tried those, but that just made me think that I should add:  Trader Joe's is awesome.

Oreos are damn near the perfect store-bought cookie.  We don't buy them because my wife and I would polish off a package in a day otherwise.

And don't give me that Double Stuff crap.  The wafer makes the cookie.
