Someone needs to neuter whoever wrote that commercial where Matthew McConaughey whistles the Andy Griffith theme.

I must not be the only person who hated the annoying whistling. They just showed the commercial, but cut out the whistling.

Goes to show you really can make the world a better place with well-placed message board comments about emasculation.

The commercial is .. fine.  But whoever made the decision to repeat it 10x per hour should be fired.

The name of the song is The Fishin’ Hole, so actually was a clever choice.

Clever perhaps, but that doesn’t make it any less annoying.

Today I ate a banana that was totally green on the outside. I thought it would be underripe, but I was hungry. As it turns out, the banana was perfectly ripe...like one that is totally yellow, and not yet getting black spots.

I thought that was kinda odd.

this coulda been a whole new topic in and of itself ;D

No kidding!

Today I ate another one that looked totally ripe - completely yellow, without a hint of green - and yet it clearly wasn’t ripe when I bit into it.

What’s with that?

Propofol is friggin’ incredible stuff. I had it for a medical procedure yesterday. Instantly asleep, and woke without any ill effects.

I've had the same experience. That's why Michael Jackson loved it.

Wait, we’re not done with bananas yet...I’ve heard they’re constipating.  That’s just seems weird cuz they are pretty slippery and all...when ya take the skin off anyways 🤷🏼‍♂️

You give bananas to babies when they have diarrhea. Also high in potassium.

Anyone here ever had all the inbox messages in their gmail account suddenly disappear? I checked my phone this evening - everything recent is gone, and all I had left were some previously deleted messages from 2015 and earlier. Help!

Try logging on to gmail via your web browser.    Sometimes apps are flaky.

Or post your loginID and password in this thread and we can help you.   8-)

Thanks, but I tried the browser and got the same thing. Frustrating. I'm hoping maybe it's a Google server thing, where I log back in some day and find that the emails are suddenly back to where they were yesterday (recent ones there; old ones deleted).

As an aside, new emails are coming into this account today, so it isn't as though the entire account was somehow shut down.

Maybe they'll notice my dismay if I sell my 10 shares of GOOGL.

Check your trash folder .. and also check the "security center" on your google account, see if there's any odd logins from a Nigerian prince.

Next would be trying to contact google.  Not sure how to do that .. at worst, they do have support forums that problems might be noticed.

A good quote, but 2nd place to that by a midwest politician who was opposing elimination of sales tax on tampons by saying that if you did so women would be buying them in huge quantities

Just finished reading Nights in White Castle by MU’s own Steve Rushin.

A good read if you’re interested in something light.

i heard he had a tummy ache and heart palpitations so they took him to the hospital instead of the cross bars motel.  when someone that butt ugly rapes you, the penalty should be tripled and he has to live with all the others, no solitary

So if the rapist is an attractive person, the penalty should be less severe?
