When I was in China, two similar things made me laugh.  We were at a store where a friend of mine was buying a bunch of $1 DVDs (I refuse to do it because it feels like stealing to me) and the one that made me laugh was the Kill Bill movie.  The blurb on the front of the box read "This movie feels incomplete...!"

I was in another shop where they tried to have cool American things.  There was a t-short with a picture of a 40s era mid-sized open air truck filled with corn.  Above the truck in read "Nebraska".  Below the truck it read, "The dope job of cornhusking"

The DVD's were $1.  I used to buy kids wristwatches too for $1.50.  I'm still very mad I did not buy the "Disney themed" one, were the watch band read Snow White and the Seven Warfs.  I pictured a Star Trek-Snow White thing or something far more nefarious.

Strangely, the Swedish on the menu isn't horrible.

Whatever my neighbor decides to make for his SB party.  This year is English pub food.   His Memphis style ribs have been my favorite of past SB parties.

No matta here, Doc.

I use the time to practice my free throws.

If I am in charge of their FT practice, you may not be happy with the results. Then again, you may not even notice....

So does everybody here plan to spend the evening at some sort of Super Bowl party - hosting, going to friends' or a bar? My plans - a quiet evening channel surfing with the missus.

My interest in football and the SB hype has faded to the point where I just can't get excited about it. Not a political thing about Kap, or a moral thing over head injuries, or a "sick of the Patriots" thing. I used to LOVE football and the SB, but have gradually gotten less interested as the years have passed. And I get tired of the hype over everything from the commercials to the halftime show.

So get the he!! off my lawn and tell me what y'all are doing.

Making pizza with my wife and son.  Turning  over to True Detective when it comes on.

One year it will dawn on the powers that be that having the Super Bowl on a Saturday  would be an even bigger party.

I cared less about this season than any season prior. Most likely a product of Green Bay being so poor this season.
