In an NCAA financial statement released Thursday, UConn reported that total generated revenue from sports last year totaled $40.4 million, while expenses came in at $80.9 million.

Football lost $8.7 million, men's basketball $5 million and women's basketball, a perennial power, had expenses that outpaced revenues by more than $3 million.

Why do some people not use the entire left turn lane when making a turn? They just slow down. halfway in the turn lane and halfway in the traffic lane, and sometimes even stop and block traffic while waiting to make the turn.

Should these people be banned from Arby's for life? Longer? Maybe we should even make them walk around in ND gear for eternity....

UVA and William and Mary are at the top.   Princeton Penn and Chicago are in the middle. 

He applied to Marquette to pacify me.   So far he has only heard from Marquette.

I will say that Marquette has been the most aggressive and creative at recruiting him to MU.  After he signed up for a tour, he received several calls from MU confirming he was attending the tour and encouraging him to apply.

After he applied to Engineering and was accepted, he received a cardboard 3D viewer that assembles to looked like a GAF Viewmaster where you insert a cell phone and watch a YouTube video tour of the engineering Building.

Today he got a letter from Wojo encouraging him to attend.

They are working hard to get him over the finish line.

My kids were prospects about a decade ago, and they got radio silence from Marquette as other schools aggressively recruited them. We were on a first name basis with a couple of them. My son got a personal phone call from the Dean of the college he applied to at one university.

And before you make a joke about their worthiness, a friend of ours shared a similar story about her son, who had a 35 S
ACT score and was valedictorian of his class.

I'm with you.  Only MU has been this aggressive.   Penn scheduled a one on one interview with a local alum.  ND sent a couple of emails to me letting me know about online financial aid presentations.  UVA sent an email that they had everything they needed.  Otherwise silence so far.

Edit:  Forgot an email from Kris Ropella identifying a couple Engineering scholarships worth applying for.

"Snow ribbons" in driveways from driving through snow before shoveling.  There is more than one thing that I overreact to in my life but I'm borderline unhealthy in how much these annoy me.  Of course with my wife and daughter home due to a snow day today, I'm fairly certain they spent the day just driving up and down the driveway moving over 6" each time
