Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Aka sully has a 13.1 sticker on the back of his Subaru.

This made me chuckle.

The condition of my C4-C5 essentially precludes me from any sustained high-impact activity.  But even if I overcame that and finished one under the cutoff at great risk to both physical and marital health, it still wouldn't be an impressive accomplishment, it'd just be another stupid accomplishment to add to an already comical list.

I can't think of anywhere in the realm of athletics where "personal best" is more ubiquitous than in distance running.  It's great to have (and beat) your own goals, and the feeling that you're accomplishing something can be great for the mind and the body.  But if you have to slap a sticker on your car to feel said sense of self-accomplishment, then you really didn't accomplish anything at all.

I said the sticker was sad from the beginning. I was reacting to your comment that running 26.2 is a "pedestrian" accomplishment. It isn't, and it is taking you quite a few words to admit that.

Hey,

I ran Al's Run several times under an hour, then drank a bunch of beer at Summerfest.

Woooohooo.

If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I always wanted to see someone with a 26.3 sticker. The ultimate I'm better than you sticker

If your initial post had stopped there, it actually would have been pretty funny.

Yeah, you're not going to walk this one back by taking issue with a cancer survivor winning a triathlon being impressive.  So let's call the fact that you bit another one of Benny's meaningless accomplishments.

Damn, I going to need a sticker to show this one off.

For the record, here's Benny's "initial post":

1) What the heck is the Big East Network?

2) Did Jimmy Butler hit his ceiling last year or will he take it to the next level?

3) Why is there still no radio affiliate in the Chicago area?

I like candy corn.  Some people don't, but I do.

Gives my teeth a nice protective sugar coating, too.

Westallion made a candy corn beer instead of pumpkin like most others make. They rightfully called candy corns "the West Allis of Halloween candy".

I didn't bite anything - I ignored most of your post because it was irrelevant to the "pedestrian" comment.

Me too. Candy corn is not my favorite, but it isn't that bad.

My least favorite "candy" has always been black licorice. How can they even treat that vile stuff as candy?

Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Which is worse, candy corn or whatever that stuff in the black & orange wrappers are?

Black & orange wrappers gets my vote.

No. The worst Halloween candy is Bit o' Honey. Tastes bad, but at least it pulls out all of your fillings, too

Candy corn is worse.  Please do not interpret this is an endorsement of the stuff in the black and orange wrappers, but as an indictment of candy corn.

The stuff in the orange and black wrappers is to Halloween candy as Montgomery is to smart team play.
