Nope, but TAMU and I did have a beer summit on that trip.  Corner Bar for an MU game.

Who picked up the tab?

My daughter went to the J school at Mizzou also.  She's a copywriter for an ad agency in Chicago.  Great J school - the first in the world I believe they claim.  All the best to your daughter.  The Mizzou alum is very strong.

Thanks, and I'm glad to know your daughter is doing well. My daughter just reached out to the J-school alumni in the KC area. The market there is tight, but I'm optimistic....

Over/under on number of bags of partially used shredded cheese of various types in my fridge right now: 4.

Always over.

So I checked.  I have four:

1. Mozerella and Provolone, which I put on homemade pizza
2. Sharp cheddar, which I put on a lot of things
3. Mexican something or other that my wife uses to make nachos
4. Colby Jack, which is abhorrent and shouldn't be used to do anything.  I bet you it's been there for nine months.

1. Mozerella

Never tried this kind of cheese. Sounds familiar, though.

Sadly, I think I throw out more stuff than I consume in many categories: cheese, almond/cashew milk, yogurt, deli meats, bread...

------------------
Also, I tried Rosati's for the first time last week. It was bad. Prices were a bit high, but looks like you just need to use codes when you order. I got a $20 deal ($29.50 before code discount) - 16" thin two topping pizza, breadsticks, and a 2-liter of pop.

The pizza was incredibly bland (like many others). Absolutely nothing special. I got bored eating it. The sauce had no kick or even any taste. Not memorable and not something I'd look to purchase again (well, maybe I'd try a deep dish to give them one more shot).

The breadsticks were unique in design and actually pretty good. The marinara was plain and boring, but yeah... those breadsticks were solid.

Always under. Always. Because fresh shredded takes very little time and tastes far better. As far as bricks of shreddable cheese, I currently have 4 (Mozzarella, Sharp Cheddar, Smoked Cheddar, Fire-Roasted Jabanero Monterey Jack).

I have two kids under 5. I don't have time to shred my own cheese.

Besides, when I want to eat really good cheese it isn't the kind you shred and put on stuff.

I'm 50 years old with no kids in the house and have no desire to shred my own cheese.

I have a 6-month-old infant and (currently) 5 dogs. Shredding cheese takes far less time than you think.

Do you eat tacos? Pizza? Nachos? Because there is no type of food that isn't improved by freshly shredded cheese. And you might be surprised at the kinds of cheese that are worth shredding and putting on stuff. I made macaroni and cheese with an 8-year-old aged sharp cheddar shredded and it was delicious and decadent. Far better than the wood-shaving covered stuff you get from Kraft or Sargento.

I told the need for more shredded cheese to my wife, and she correctly added "freshly shredded, not the bags with the sawdust powder stuff."

The "sawbust powder stuff" helps the cheese melt evenly unlike the real stuff which clumps and becomes overly stringy. Processed cheese has its place over natural.  Velveeta and Rotel, people.

Dat's right, no shredding required.

Let me guess... the part you agree with is that their basketball arena looks like the one in Hoosiers?

I don't think the campus itself is better.  Generally, Butler's buildings may be a bit older overall, and I think MU has a larger footprint - especially if you take away the athletic fields & Hinkle (and appurtenant parking) - but I was talking more along the lines of curb appeal... it's still an urban campus, i.e. the campus itself has very little green space (relative to the flagships), it definitely has that "private university" look to it, and it's tucked in the middle of a densely populated single-family home neighborhood (hence the need to bring in UWM on that part).  Though Meridian-Kessler is a bit sleepier than the Upper East Side, proximity to Broadripple is about the same as UWM is to the North Ave "district."

But truth be told, overall, Butler definitely sucks compared to MU.

Butler is not an urban campus.  It is at least a 15 minute drive from to down town.  Its in a nice historic neighborhood.  Similar to a shorewood or whitefish bay.  If u would consider a campus in wf bay urban then maybe its urban.  But even farther to the indy city center.  Other draw back with butler is the neighborhood with quaint and safe offers zero nightlife with out taking cabs/uber to different areas.  Therefore the greek scene (nh) is huuuge! 👎👎

What is the context? In this thread, I can only assume that you mean falsely accusing someone of preferring Burger King to Arby's. In which case, yes, the harshest punishment is required.
