My wife just asked me to bring some home today. I'm hoping it's just an odd craving.

Soooo... is there a little brew on the way?

Let's hope so.  Otherwise, Brew has definitely been spending too much time at the firehouse.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

But what about a Doritos Locos Taco? Surely that's an acceptable compromise.

Had three last night. The spicy ones are better than cool ranch though those are solid.

Yes.

Tortilla chips, potato chips, pretzels and such only truly need salt. For additional garnish on tortilla chips, there are plenty of acceptable options, like salsa, guacamole and such. Cool ranch flavoring does not qualify as “and such.”

You need to nip this in the bud before your son goes too far down the wrong path. If you don’t take action soon, you may rue the lost opportunity as you watch your son drink a wine spritzer or the next iteration of Zima.

Perhaps you aren't aware of it but Zima is back.

I truly had no idea. But now it’s clear that the risk to ‘Topper’s son is real!

Talk to the boy tonight!

They are all good, but the Doritos Locos shells are madd soft. They break apart very easy; super dainty and weak. The normal hard taco shells at Taco Bell are much stronger... just not as tasty.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Little brew is already here. If there's another impending, we're in trouble.

Having an unpregnant wife asking for cool ranch seems like more trouble.

At work, I have some folks from our Singapore office visiting this week.  They gave me a bag of salty egg fish skin snacks as part of a thank you gift.  Haven't tried them yet.  I can't decide if that sounds tasty or terrible.

Yeah, I think they eat those just so they don't have to smell them anymore.  I ate one while in Singapore a dozen years or so ago.  The smell is overwhelmingly bad that even though for some reason they taste OK the whole experience is not good.  Reminds me of the folks who eat superhot wings to say they've done it or to get a t-shirt.  We just got a sports bar/pub here called Arooga's, which I guess is a chain, that has a superhot wing that you have to sign a release for before they'd let you order it.  Naturally 3 of group had to try them, they suffered obviously through them and then in the end declared they weren't that hot.  All I could think of is why would you knowingly pay for and eat something you know you're not going to like just to say you did it?

Language question .. I have a feeling using the phrase having a "come to Jesus" meeting is not acceptable in 2018, unless you're at the Vatican or something, right?

What's an equivalent?   And what would you say in France or Estonia, Russia or Isreal?

My mom used to eat Limburger cheese when I was young. It smells absolutely terrible. She used to say, “Once you get past the smell, it’s good.”  I’d ask her, “Why would you want to?”

I never did get past the smell.
