Sorry if this is off topic...I'm sitting in the van waiting for my daughters to come out from the last Sib's weekend event at Madison.  I've been staring directly at the Kohl Hole for the last 15 minutes and am starting to feel nauseous.

Can I be certain that this affliction will subside once I cross the city limits?

No certainty...but you would probably increase your chances of recovery if you avert your eyes.

I've got a $1,000 budget for a new grill. Looking at the Weber Genesis II SE-410. Any thoughts?

Better to get ten $100 grills and toss one out each year.

I've had a Weber Genesis (I assume 1) for probably 7-8 years.  I had to give myself a pep talk to make the trip to the Home center to pay (I think) $700 for it.  One of the best purchases I've made. Not one regret since the first time I fired it up. The only part I have replaced in that time was the grill cover.

By the way, I made it out of Madison okay.  It is always a nice jolt back to the real world when I see the Marquette St. sign 50yds before the entrance ramp to head towards Milwaukee.

If you have the get-up for it, hook em straight up to your natural gas from the house.  You need a different attachment and/or regulator.  No worries slinging tanks and never a problem starting them up on days in April like this #*@#**$@ ‘ing day

When my last gas grill died about 5-6 years ago, I shopped around for a while trying to find something I liked.  I couldn’t find anything that I considered “just right” enough to justify the cost. Ultimately, I bought a $60 Weber charcoal grill and have used that since. I’ve never regretted it.

Give the money to your wife so she can buy a decent stove that she uses every single day.

We have an stove that we use every day in the winter. Now it's time for a decent grill, that we use 5 days a week in the summer.

Also, already ditched on Weber. 2018 line is trash.

Get a Traeger.  Grill, smoker, automatic temperature control.  It can do everything.

Check out Green Mountain too. Owners are ex Traeger guys. You can monitor food temps and control grill temp from your phone.
