Unless you only have two in the house, that's impossible to do.

Hoo watches bowlin' on da toob, hey?

I was watching the Masters and it went to a commercial. I flipped over the FS1, thinking that maybe they had a ballgame on. No MLB ... but I saw bowling and thought, "What the heck, I'll kill 2 minutes here." And just as it came on the screen, the kid made the effen 7/10 split! First time it's happened in a televised event in 30 years!

Then I went back to golf.

An 18-year-old, Anthony Neuer, just became the 4th pro bowler to make a 7/10 split on TV.

Arby’s for everybody!!!

Does this seem like an insane stat to anyone else? Bowling has been on tv for decades. I know the split is a very difficult shot, but apparently pros can still hit it 1 out of 145 attempts*. A <1% success rate is extremely low, and pro bowlers probably end up with 7/10s far less than average Joes at the Bowl-a-Rama, but the fact that only four(!) people have done it on tv is blowing my mind.

Is it one of those things that most pro bowlers have accomplished it, but just not on tv? Is it possible that even most pros have never successfully completed one? Is it a big deal when it happens? Do people celebrate like they just hit a hole-in-one, or is it just another spare on the scorecard?

Why is this of all things burrowing itself into my brain?

That was quality.

I'm going to assume that woman was just trying to teach her to fish as opposed to giving her a fish.

Yep. It would have been a lot easier (for both of them) if she had just gotten into her car and drove away.

Kudos to her for helping out in a way that just might help the other woman in the future.

Yep. I learned how to parallel park well in Chicago. It came in handy in other high traffic big cities for me.

When I was a young AP reporter in Madison, just a year or so out of MU, I had an assignment to cover a campaign event during which the Wisconsin governor bowled alongside the biggest name in the sport's history.

Yep ... Anthony Earl and Earl Anthony. I shyte you not.

I was literally telling my son about this yesterday.  (Not the event, but the name coincidence.)

Ironically Earl Anthony died by falling down a staircase in Wisconsin too.

A new San Antonio restaurant combines Texas barbecue with Southeast Asian curry. Their specialty is barbecue brisket with green curry, and they have been wildly successful. The owners came up with the idea for the collaboration when both restaurants were struggling due to the pandemic.

The Girl Scout cookies sounded excellent, but unfortunately, we are all out at this house.  Leftover Thai takeout it is.
