The Bucks presented the new exterior view of the arena today, with a wave added to the outside to represent Milwaukee being on the lake. Or the river...something like that. Interesting to see it will be brown brick on the wave facade, though I suppose a wave of brown water is appropriate in Milwaukee.[/snaredrum]

Looks good! I really like the elevated terrace on the eastern facing wall.

Looks incredible in this rendering.  Can't wait to see it come to life over the next couple years!

One persistent worry, they are figuring out how to build the whole thing above ground because of the water table. Can't help but think that site isn't ideal and that's why it laid dormant so long. Hope they can do enough to shore up the foundation.

That was my first thought. Very appropriate for Milwaukee. Love the rendering

The lack of use was the remediation expense from the elimination of the Park East Freeway. Don't think they should have too much issue with the water table because they're going to have to dig up at least 50 feet to clean up/shore up.

The rendering is missing the requisite foot of brown snow.

This does look awesome, but do remember, this is an early rendering...these things often change.  I know DC United and Orlando City in MLS had early renderings that looked amazing, but have since curtailed due to budget constraints.

Too bad they aren't using Cream colored brick.  Just one more reason for Gus Johnson to say CREEEAAAM  CITY.  (I feel gross typing that)

Also looks like the lower bowl has more room for sweater vests!

Appears that the view from the Southeast will make it look like a giant bratwurst bun.

After seeing some of those "crowds" at the BC this season, they need all the sweater vests they can get.

ChuckyChip

Also announced yesterday was that the Admirals will be moving to the "UWM" arena starting this fall, instead of waiting until 2018 when the BC closes.  Might open up some better home dates for MU.

You mean the designated smoking section don't you?

Hopefully the new arena will drive up attendance.  At this rate, MU could curtain off the upper deck and not affect anyone.

Isn't that the North facing side?

I dig it. While baseball stadiums continue to wallow in the past, basketball/hockey arenas look to the future.

You old fogeys that think this stadium is too mod for your taste should check out the Redskin's plans for their new place:
