Measuring more than 600 feet in length, the Belgorod is the largest submarine in the world. It is capable of carrying "doomsday" Poseidon nuclear torpedo drones, which, according to Russia, could trigger 1,600-foot nuclear tsunamis that would inundate coastal cities from hundreds of miles away and render them uninhabitable for decades.

In the past 30 years, I'm sure that the US has spent an ungodly amount of money (at least I hope they have) that allows them to track adversarial submarines.  Not to mention some sort of countermeasure system to eliminate ICBMs.  They're probably not going to show the tech until it needs to be used though.   ;)

We have capabilities the public should never know about beforehand.
This week in 1986 the Soviets lost a nuclear armed sub near Bermuda in 18,000 feet of water. Years later they discovered that someone had salvaged the warheads and reactors thought to be impossible to retrieve.https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/navy-ships/a41499800/soviet-nuclear-submarine-sank-in-bermuda/

I get, this thread is all about hyperbole, but I'm shocked the butter shortage hasn't been mentioned here.  Serious doom.

You can freeze butter. Start hoarding now.
Have some patience, FFS.

Yep.  No margarine for error.

It will be shortening the Thanksgiving Day menu; that's for sure.

Slacker bovines? Quiet quitter cows?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

A suspension bridge collapsed in India with hundreds of people on it.  Absolutely horrific situation.
