Excited that Wojo is doing a full-court press for a kid who obviously would help us a lot next season, and I don't blame other Scoopers (not including 4ever) fer gittin sum wud.

What I'd prefer to not see is for folks starting to suggest that if we don't get Hagans it means Wojo "lost" him - as became the dialogue surrounding Grimes.

It's a worthy effort but ultimately a long-shot play, as was Grimes. It goes to the improved national stature of Wojo's program that we get a home visit with this kid.

I'd rather get him than not get him, obviously, but in my eyes at least, not getting him will not equal "failure" or "losing" him.

You can't lose what you never had. Which was true of Grimes, too.

Are there limits on in-home visits?  I don't think so as long as its legal under the recruiting calendar.

Furthermore I have not heard it was in home.  I thought they were visiting him at the school.

I thought there were, but I could be wrong. Didn't hear it was at the school, but if you read that, I am sure that is the case.

So he turns 19 this summer?  He'd be an awfully old senior next year.  If that is the correct bday, he is eligible to be a 1 and done with reclassifying.

I believe you only get a limited number of in home visits, and MU is one of them. So while we probably aren't the favorite, he is at least interested in what the staff has to say. That's a start.

Where are you seeing in-home visit? I see they are going to one of his games this week.

I think we all would be. But when you have a shot at a 5-star PG when that's your position of need, you take it. Worst case scenario, you don't land him. We aren't currently recruiting any other 2018 players, so there's no drawback to going after him.

It would suck if he chose Georgetown, but yeah no downside here.

It would suck a little less if a conference member landed a 5 star

I'd rather he spurn us for Georgetown than Kansas.  I don't think people can even conceive of how big of a deal it would be if Georgetown was rolling again.

I understand this kind of thinking, but there's no way I want any part of Tremont Waters again.  GU commit, backed out when JTIII left, ended up at LSU, had a huge game against us in Maui

Georgetown already has PG Mac McClung committed for next year.  Hagans is rated much higher, but McClung was getting a lot of press lately for breaking Allen Iverson's VA high school scoring record.

Fishing for a 5 star in your backyard with his brother on the team is slightly different than convincing a 5 star from Georgia or Texas to brave a Milwaukee winter.  Obviously not the only factor, but a bigger one than when recruiting the Midwest.

This doesn't clarify if it will be "in home" or "in" to watch a game.
Newton High has a home playoff game tonight vs Wheeler High (Marietta).

Wheeler has long been a hoops power in ATL (Jaylen Brown most recent notable player), but Newton is #1 seed.

Who is we Sultan? Do you have a mouse in your pocket. It never ceases to amuse me how you believe you are the Pope of this board and can lecture one and all about your magnificense. And no I do not remember that. Do you remember when I dropped the ton of bricks on your head about you denying saying Otule was better than Gardner? Oh, that is OK, you can hardly be held accountable for remembering everything in your 1 million posts of pontification.

At the time I said it, Otule was better than Gardner.
