To all those twitter followers of QG, We need to be showering him with praise today and tomorrow when he gives the obligatory "Marquette Official Visit this weekend #MUBB #WeAreMU" and his pinpoint of "Milwaukee". Let's do our part people!

Question: who wins an argument between Cheesy and Tommy???

Tyler Herro

Love laughing at Bucky.

But Herro is clearly full of himself. He ain't that good.

Best of luck doing the 1 and done route!

He's pretty dang good.

If circumstances change, and we somehow have an opening in the spring and Herro is still looking for a place to play, I'd gladly take him at MU.  But that's not the situation right now, so I'm all in on Grimes.

Exactly.

Doesn't make sense to pass on one of the most talented players in Wisconsin history for Grimes.  Like opting for Scottie Pippen over Jordan. This is there for the taking. MU's program needs to "seize the moment" When a National Title banner is being raised a couple years from now, I would look back to the next 4 weeks as maybe really being the reason why. I know some big east schools have stepped it up in the last 24 hours. To me its almost worse if he goes to a big east rival versus going to UW.

It seems pointless to argue with you, but how is Grimes Scottie Pippen in this scenario and Herro is Jordan? Grimes is the higher rated player. He would also open the door to other out of state 5 star players, which might be better for MU in the long-run.

Here is the problem with this....   MU has made it clear to Grimes that he is their only remaining target.   They have gone all out and against all odds (Texas, Kentucky, Kansas) QG is visiting MU this weekend.    If MU was to suddenly throw him over and suddenly go after Herro, what kind of message would it send to any future recruit?    In addition, Herro doesn't play the point.   Grimes does.   More versatility.

Our top recruit since Doc is making an official visit this weekend.  He's likely to be impressed when numerous NBA players that have ties to our storied program or Wojo speak highly about what coming here will represent.  He'll get to know the guys, our program, and our university as no effort will be wasted.  And after all that's done, there's a reasonable chance he'll actually sign with us in the next few weeks, all done the old fashioned way with hard work and dedication.  If he chooses somewhere else, we'll appreciate that he gave MU serious consideration.

Herro is a nice ballplayer who committed to UW a year ago.  I'll venture other than a 'hello' at some AAU event, he hasn't spoken to Wojo since that time.  If he wants to come to MU he can make that call.  And I'm 99.9% sure the response will be that our recruiting class is full but that if he wants to stay in touch things might happen in the Spring like they often do.  Now if I'm Herro, I don't wait.  But if truly wants to come to MU to play with Joey, he can roll the dice.  I wish him nothing but the best as he explores his options.

Once Wojo and staff know you and your alter ego, Tommy, have weighed in, I'm sure they'll tell QG to cancel his weekend plans.
Based on the comments from both Big Daddy and Ted Baxter,I think you should stop hoping MU is going to make an opening for you Tyler, or for your son, Mrs. Herro, whoever Cheesy and Tommy actually are.

My other fear is Joey decommits now and heads to UW. I had inside info he was kind of waivering on his commitment a couple of weeks ago.

Cheesey....name your source on inside info.  Because we should all know that person's name and that he/she is a liar.  Have you talked to Joey directly? Or his Mom or his brother or Marcus or......

Go to the game on Sunday and see for yourself.

If we lose out on Grimes, and The Cartographer wants to attend MU, and Wojo and staff are likewise interested in offering The Cartographer, then I'm on board.

Slightly higher rated, yes - but I agree with Glow. The position he plays and the potential of the group he would be joining make QG more important.
