He certainly looks like a kid who would be ready to take the keys to Marquette's program in 15 months. And looks the part of a 1 and done, especially as a 6'4" point guard.

I'm far less optimistic about this one than some here. If it happens I'll be extatic. But I'm not expecting it.

I agree we still have the Long odds.  But I feel the longer he waits, our chances to get him increases.  But the Next step is to get the visit with the Ice Cream Truck parked right outside.

At this point, with no official visits announced, we have as good a chance as any of the 7 finalists for Mr. Grimes services.

While not formally announced, Grimes had previously indicated that he would take officials at Kansas, Arizona and Texas and had previously said he would use all 5 opportunities.  Later, in a quickly deleted tweet, he stated '6' following Quinerly's hard commit to Arizona potentially signaling something about his continuing Arizona interest (or elimination).  Of course he could change his mind about any of this.

I just wanted to lay out the public lay of the land as things stand at this moment.  Let's hope Wojo can get him on campus.  There's little doubt that Grimes was impressed by the Joey commitment last month.  We're in the game from everything folks have heard.

Does not use his left hand when driving left for layups, needs to learn this.

Wojo is installing the '3 legged race' offense where he pairs him up with Cheatham.  It's going to be unstoppable.

Tight handles, high level body control, superior court vision, and as pure a shooting form as any other high school recruit I've seen. Yep, looks like a potential one and done talent to me.

Jay Bee, how's his defense?

Defense... I think he *can be* a very good defender. He can impact some smaller guys with his size (nh). Gets some steals, not a ton... gets more blocks than your normal PG... but, is smart and can use his body to his advantage defensively.

For me honestly.. and his shot looks gorgeous... but, I'm not convinced he's a great shooter at this point. That's probably the area I'd like to see him improve on the most... at Shooters University (aka MU), you'd think our coaches and players may be able to help him as much or more than anywhere else he went.

Have you watched him in person or a full game on TV?

Nope. Just commenting on the video Wades posted. Might make my way down Highway 6 for one of his high school games if we are still in the running at that point.

I have no idea what "nh" means in this context. Found an urban dictionary definition of "nice hand" — but don't see how it relates to Quentin Grimes or this commentary.

Just wait until he breaks out the offense that consists of Howard and Rowsey on each others' shoulders

Can't wait to watch this year's edition of the Warriors, which will be known as "the Bombers and Bangers."

Absolutely agree.  Its childish, and you otherwise come off as a professional in your player assessments.

In fact, you say no homo so much... it makes a guy wonder...

We R Final Four

No homo may actually mean homo??

Interesting.

Twitter says we offered Tyrese Maxey. He is of the big fish variety. Ranked in the top 20 for the 2019 class. Another Texan combo guard. Clearly Grimes is going to come to Marquette, lead us to a national championship, go pro, and Wojo will have to reload.
