Shoot, I hope Joey (or any of the Hausers) don't read Scoop.  Calling Joey a female would probably not sit well...

A joey is a young kangaroo (or other marsupial) of either sex.

I can't believe it has taken this long for someone to post that sentence on this MU basketball bulletin board.  I would have thought it would come up years ago :)

Ahh, I see.  I misread it as saying a young female was called a joey.

Oh it has.
"Joey is a young marsupial of either sex" made it to the Elite 8 of the 2009 meme tournament.

So he is...Wally Ellenson's son?

Another write up...this time from Badger site. Here he says he will likely take officials to all 3 schools..... ::)

MU offered 2019 point guard DJ Carton today. Was at the MU team camp. Recently offered by UW as well.

He probably doesn't want to go to college in upper Michigan.

Given his affinity for the Badgers, its probably a good thing that he knows so little about Marquette.  That gives Wojo and company the chance to sell the school without having to correct misconceptions to start.  Comparative playing time opportunity can offset early favoritism, as well, and right now its not looking like MU will get a 2018 PG recruit...
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Rocket Watts is the PG I'm most optimistic about for 2019. He's very close to Elliott and Cain. Wojo has shown a tendency to recruit players that know each other.  Cain & Elliott. Anim & John. The Ellensons. The Hausers.

Let's see how much playing time those 2 get the next 2 year, which might be a deciding factor for Watts at MU.  Competition the next 2 years will be challenging
enough as MU might have a full roster in 2 years.  Right now they have 12, add Hauser up to 13.  The roster looks pretty strong.  At this time, can not even figure
who the bottom 3 or 4 will be.  Sure it could be Eke, Anim, and Bailey.  You can also say those 3 might start as well.

Reminds me of the story Wes Matthews told at the Hoopla about Crean texting the other two Amigos about how the third was doing in his high school games while recruiting all three.  Something like "hey Wes, Jerel had a double-double tonight!"

Guess he isn't a recruit anymore but wanted to share this

I think Hooper might need a walking boot after that one

He's solid.  Reminds me of the strength/aggressiveness of Lazar/Crowder, but taller.  Let's hope he follows in their footsteps.

Yikes.  A bit more time in the weight room, and he's gonna start looking like Faisal Abraham.
