Philippe Ndong commits to Marquette. Personally, I think we're in an era where if you want a project player, you let them play at a mid major for 2 years and see if it's worth investing a scholarship. This also guarantees at least one departure via the portal next summer as 14/15 roster spots are eligible to return.

I had it wrong, he's our second class of 2027 commit.

I'd guess Hamilton will be similar to Sean and Tre last year, but we'll see. Have them get their degree at MU and agree it's time to move on.

It's also going to be difficult to retain 15 players. Somebody's role will not be what they hoped for.

Looks a lot like Philips to me. I'm good bringing in high upside guys with good size. He'll need to fill out, but so do most 17 year olds.

Hoping we can land one of the highly rated guards we're in on.

We are still in for Nyok. The UK offer does make it more of an uphill battle but the staff is still pursuing and hoping to land him.

Pemberton has been the pg I've wanted for  while now. Hopefully he's the next domino to fall

If we land Pemberton and Nyok, or comparable players, and are willing to trim at least 5 players from the roster in spring while also being active in the portal at the same level we were this year, then I'm fine with the Ndong add.

If we're sitting here in spring waiting on a decision from Fru while staring a front court that has Parham as the only reliable player while Hamilton, Clark, and Ndong are left to sort roles, it'll be time for a change.

In this era, you need to continuously add experienced talent to keep up. We tried HS only, it failed. This needs to be both and. It'll be interesting to see if this staff has the stomach for what's necessary to succeed.

In this era with so many kids supposedly coming back, why not wait till next April.  Fru leaves you have nothing in The middle.  Projects today are a waste.
