Jay Bee what can you tell us about Nur since he's in your neck of the woods?

Actually about half that many.
Which is still a lot, but c'mon.

I just hope the coaching staff keeps driving high level recruits to Marquette.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Wrong! You might want to check the city of Chicago's own data.
Wild horses couldn't drag me into either political party, but for very different reasons.

I'm sure debating which city has more car jacks is a very important topic but can we please keep the discussion out of a thread about Marquette recruiting?

Please......

Quote from: avid1010 on October 02, 2025, 06:27:55 PMI can't keep up with NIL.  For next year schools can divide $20.5 million across their student athletes?

In addition to the 'old NIL' that technically wasn't affiliated/controlled by the schools and was/is rife with criminal conduct and tax issues, now schools can directly pay SA's up to just over $20M. This is new, and most schools won't actually spend up to that amount.

So, 'so and so we think maybe gets $3M from NIL' still will exist... but in addition, kids will get dough from their school.

Was a nice piece for Hopkins (HS) on a team with some vets including my buddy's kid last year. Runs with D1 Minnesota for travel. 6'9", slim, very fluid -- can move great and score at all levels (stretch 4 who can knock down the triple but also do work inside). Will be interesting to see how much better he gets with physicality and toughness -- it's a work in process, but if his toughness game elevates could be a serious, serious player in college and beyond. Really fun prospect with high ceiling.

Of course we have tons of Somalis here in Minneapolis... at parks and fitness clubs, lots of them play bball but I haven't seen many over the years that are great players. This guy is. It appears he's got a good head on his shoulders and good people around him... now it's just time to work and execute.  RGV, baby.

Could see him as a 3/4 matchup nightmare in college.

I'd be totally jacked if he chooses Marquette.
