What kind of competition is Karvala playing against?  I assume, not being from Wisconsin, that his is a smaller school and so they are not playing against the premiere HS teams in the state?  Is that a fair assumption?  Just trying to to gauge the gaudy stats.

It's division 2 basketball.  He is playing against mostly smaller Madison suburbs kids and some rural schools.  He isn't playing against the Madison kids

Playing schools east of Madison and 900-1,300 enrollments.  Not small schools, but not the top schools in the state. 

I'm really not sure if there is a player in the state in any class who is as vertically dynamic as Karvala. 

His recruiting will be one to watch.

Most of the schedule for Oregon looks to be against mid-sized schools in southern Wisconsin; Watertown, Waunakee, Franklin.  It's probably not as competitive as if he was playing the Arrowheads and Sun Praries of the world, or if he was playing high level private schools like Martin Luther or Wisconsin Lutheran.  But he's not just beating up on terrible teams from tiny schools in the Northwoods.

Yeah, I realized that. Athletically, I would compare him to a young Pat Connaughton. If he can put up the same numbers as Pat did at ND, he would be a very good player and a huge fan favorite.
