It’s not like KState is penny pinching on their basketball roster.
I think all the teams can pay well, including MU.

No doubt, but I think Alabama and KState are on a level above the other teams on that list.

Hopefully the MSU one doesn't either.

MSU will be happening. But if he moves his timetable up, Alabama is most likely to be skipped.

It was wishful thinking  ;D Hoping that the staff is able to get Cam to commit. He'd be a huge piece in what is already a really special recruiting class.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

https://247sports.com/college/maryland/article/top-maryland-basketball-recruiting-priority-set-for-official-says-terps-have-a-hometown-advantage-235687677/

"For Maryland, they're the hometown school. I feel like Maryland has a little bit of the advantage because they're the hometown school. I'm just looking at them and the things they can offer. Also, just being able to watch them early this season to see them win games and continue to build their culture. I want to see more of their culture and see their guys embracing it. I'm not saying they don't have a culture, I just want to learn more about it and I think I will on my visit."

Analyzing where things stand now with Ward, Marquette seems to still be firmly in the mix. The culture that head coach Shaka Smart and his staff have quickly implemented left a massive impression on him during his visit back in late June. Michigan State still seems like their in a good spot and has shown their dedication over the course of the last year making multiple trips to Prince George's County to see Ward in person.

Non-MU news but WI native recruit news, Alabama and Watertown native Nate Oats reportedly the leaders for Davion Hannah (other main contenders MSU, Cincy, Mizzou) and are in the top 2 for Amari Allen (along w Minnesota). Both should announce decisions soon

Here's hoping they both pick Alabama.

Kept away from Wiscy.   ;D
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Wisc might lose out on 4 of the top recruits in WI even when they were considered the favorites for all 4.

Is that a NCAA Championship trophy between his feet? I wasn't aware of 'Bama winning one.
(or is it self awarded like 1/2 their 20+ football NCs?)

I'm guessing 2024 Final Four trophy. It might be called Regional Championship trophy.

Trilly Donovan said current leader seems to be Minnesota
They were so far in the lead, that SEC money had zero impact on the player.

Lawrence Academy (MA) head coach tweeted that MU staff was on campus today. Alexander Egbuono ‘26 (6’6”) is their  prospect. MU expressed interest in him earlier too.

I never thought about the recruiting process from the HS coach POV. That has to be pretty neat for some of them, just like the kid's family.

Spoke with a trainer a few years ago that worked with a D1 prospect.  He was blown-away that Marquette called him and wanted to discuss the recruit and the workouts.  The trainer was excited to be part of the recruiting process.

The conversation was interrupted, so I never got the name of the recruit.  To your point, it has to be an awesome experience for a high school coach.
