Looking at his stats online... does anyone know how many years of eligibility he would have for college ball?  Looks like he will be 21 when the season starts.

This is a much more intriguing addition than 99% of the guys in the portal right now.

My understanding as well. I don't see much Rowdy in his game. Not that good of a shooter  (but still very good) and better on defense.  He's got some Kam like craftiness around the rim. I'm sticking with German Kam Jones

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

As long as the debate is Rowsey vs. Kam over say Chartouny vs. McEwen...I'm good with it.

Pretending I didn't see the last 30 seconds of that clip haha (they showed like 5 clips of him turning it over in a row). Looks like exactly the type of skillset we need though.

Yeah maybe that's just a European mixtape staple where they show you the bad with the good. I respect it.

Langenfeld: aka 6'5" Andrew Rowsey

So are we talking a medieval spot triple at 6'5?   Can he also shoot off the bounce? AR was also an underrated playmaker.

Haha I kinda thought the same thing, kid doesn't seem to like to pass the ball.
Clip reminded me of a taller poor mans German Markus.

He seems to be able to score and shoot though, definitely crafty, and at least tries defensively.

That said, my assumption was a different German Max with Necsac connections, quite a bit taller.

Don't know details just know that Marquette is looking at a German kid and has an in home visit abroad.

Maybe they just felt like having a liter and some schnitzel, some pretzels and a doner kabob.

Watched the entire video. Guy didn't pass the ball one time.

Der deutsche Markus?

He actually passed the ball a few times at the end of the clip. Unfortunately, all the passes were TOs.

Hope so. A second Markus would be great!

Who can blame them? My son pulled a fast one like that on a college visit.

I love how Turkish bar food becoming popular in Germany, has turned itself into my favorite "German" restaurant dish.

ESPN has an article that UCONN has already replaced Clingan with Reed from Michigan. That did not take too long. Where is the guy that said you can't replace a Clingan from a few days ago?
UCONN still widening the gap on MU and rest of BEast.

Your argument here is that

Tarris Reed 6'10" 9ppg 7.2 rpg (52.1 eFG) on 26.6 mpg BPM  +0.4

is the same caliber player as

Donovan Clingan 7'2" 13ppg 7.4 rpg (64.3 eFG) on 22.5 mpg  BPM +15

This is why everyone here thinks you're an idiot, man.  They're not the same player.  They're the same age, and there is a reason one of them is a lottery pick and the other is not.

The best part of this argument with Dung is, he keeps harping on Shaka getting studs when he has only one scholarship available and you ask him who they should cut and who they should target and he ignores whoever asks him that.

Then he whines when UConn signs Tarras Reed without having a clue about what kind of player he is.  If Reed is a primary option for UConn next year, they're not doing much.

I'm right here and if you think Reed will have the same game changing ability that Clingan had, you really need to start watching basketball.

Totally unfair. There are lots of reasons. Stop shortchanging joyless willie, you pile of dung you.

I'll be honest, my guess is Reed comes in as the backup to Samson Johnson. And I was very skeptical of Johnson coming into the year, but he proved his worth as a high-major player. Reed certainly doesn't replace Clingan, not remotely.

It's a good pick up for a UConn since Hurley clearly likes a roster set up of a big man platoon.

But yeah, next years 2 man platoon will be by far the worst of their last 3 years
