I laughed out loud at that. Recognition that the Davante/Fischer/Heldt/Theo run wasn't exactly a wealth of high level professional big men, but our coach knows his way around the position even if our organization historically doesn't.

I'm digging his use of "organization" to describe not just Marquette but also LSU. It's not inaccurate ... just a word you don't hear often when recruits describe the schools on their lists.

If there is an open scholarship don't waste it and I mean that. Save it. There could be pressure on the coaches to give it to a walk on to make some folks feel good. Don't go there. Save it. Someone could fall into your lap come this fall.  Just sayin'.

What? Schollies are one year deals and not automatically renewable; very easy to give to a walk-on without concern. You need to use all of your scholarships in todays day and age. Just look at this year. We were oversigned by one and now we’ve got an 11-man roster.  There is almost always an opening for a recruit if you want one.
