Mac Ettiene article. Singled out 6 programs

I think we had a good chance when reclassification was on the table. Don't like our odds nearly as much in 2021.

More like two great bloodhounds sniffing out the newest recruiting information at about the same time.

Thanks for sharing what you find with the rest of us.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Too bad there is no yawn emoji. Really why pre-announce a top 10 announcement?  Just put it out there.

I can see two reasons. First, I imagine being a highly recruited athlete is fun as is the attention that comes with it. Second, it sends a message to the programs you are truly considering as well as the programs that you aren't as serious about. I imagine it would help to focus the interest he receives.

Either way, it's kind of the nature of recruiting, and this is a recruiting thread, so I'm not sure what the issue would be. You want your fans and the fans of the programs interested in you to be interested, and if you give them a rough time and place of where to tune in, it's more likely you'll reach that audience sooner.

It makes me nervous that it's mostly schools where there's no winter.

I mean, that's not really the case.  Virginia Tech, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Uconn all have winter.  So half the schools on the list.

Is Texas Tech at a high altitude?

Yeah it's the high plains.  Sunny, cold winters with a blizzard or two for good measure.

Tyrese is an excellent prospect. Lots of quality programs interested.

MU has the homecourt advantage , when recruiting opens up again, Tyrese can do all sorts of unofficial visits and get to know the guys on the team.

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn

CAA is hiring @EvanDaniels to become an agent in its college basketball coaching division, sources tell ESPN. Daniels will work with agents Jimmy Sexton and Spencer Breecker.

FWIW, he liked Ben Steele’s comment about being a MU recruit and Ben’s retweet of his tweet

That seems to be of some significance, no?

What does the ever knowing CB say?

Is he following Alison Keliher?

I asked Tyrese Hunter today about his recruitment.  He told me that besides Marquette, Virginia and Texas A&M are looking at him (St. Cat's coach Bennett is cousins with Tony Bennett and worked with Buzz at MU, so no surprises there).

"Of those, who do you like?"

No hesitation. "Marquette."

"You don't have to say that just because I was your teacher."

"I know.  I like them a lot."

Just quoting myself here, in case y'all forgot.

It’d be a real shame if Eomani Bates reclassified and took all the glory from Joey in his redshirt junior NBA showcase season. Don’t let that ink dry just yet, elite eleven of MUScoop. Without big bro around he may need some help with his next letter.

COVID has made actually talking to my students more difficult.  But every indication I got up until schools closed was yes.
