From the IU board:

The insider on the other board says our staff was not that confident after the MU visit.  Said MU flew in Dwayne Wade and he made quite the impression

I have not heard this..at all..that would be something.

The IU insider that I have seen reports from, the one that actually went up there to Minny to talk to Dawson before his IU visit hasn't mentioned this at all. Does that make it not true?? No...But still strange he wouldn't have mentioned that.

Did Archie show him Wade in the IU shorts?

Dwyane was in LA watching the Heat play the Lakers during Dawson's visit.

I might be wrong about this, but I think the only contact with former student athletes can be on-campus anyway.  I don't think Wade can make in-home visits.

Actually I thought I saw someone say he was in Toronto at that time.

I think this would have been for his official.

I'm confused.  Marquette wasn't confident...but that Wade flew in and it made quite the impression?  Wouldn't that give the staff some confidence?

I think he copy and pasted that from the IU board, which then means the IU staff wasn't that confident.

Here's a tidbit FWIW..those of you that use Instagram..go check Wojo's(yes he has one, who knew), go see who his latest "follow" is...meaning, Wojo is following him, not vice versa. However, who knows how "recent" that was anyway...could have been awhile ago. I don't use Instagram.

Again, expect good news. It is not first hand, but it’s pretty reputable.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

When IU was recruiting against Kentucky for James Blackmon, he said he didn’t know which hat he was going to pick up untill 15 minutes before his hat ceremony. He said that 2 hours before that, he was leaning more towards Kentucky. Recruiting is fickle. Garcia may have chosen 2 or 3 different schools in his mind, but has changed his mind several times. This is a strange recruitment. There is no clear leader and it seems there never has been.

And if you want more..go take a look at who some of Dawson's most recent follows are on IG...amongst them...Justin Lewis, Tommy Gardiner...but the two most interesting one's...Jake Presutti and....Allison Kellaher

I wish MU's perimeter defense was as consistent as your posts. Someone posts something positive for Marquette in a particular player's recruitment. Like magic, here you are.

Ahh got it, thanks for clarifying.

If MU really did bring in DWade, it's not hard to see how that would leave an impression.

I heard Wade has access to one of those fancy flying things, where he can be in more than one city in one day. Just a rumor though

And I'm sure he has nothing better to do on a Saturday than fly from LA to Milwaukee (and back?) in order to meet with a high school kid.

Complete horseshi+.  I know James senior, have know him for years as we were in school together and Vijay played with my son.  IU was always the very very clear choice.  Their was some sentimentality with Sr. Having gone to Kentucky and the hype of Kentucky. Yet Sr. has always felt it was a mistake to leave Indiana.  Maybe if he had lived in Lexington then KY would have been the right choice but having his family stay in Indiana he felt it would have been better for opportunities for him and eventually his boys to be the Indiana HS legend who the stayed home and went to Indiana.  Its more than a coincidence that his boys went to IU.  Great story by JR., but from what i was told KY had great appeal but IU was always the smart choice always the choice upon a thought out evaluation
