Sounds like everyone is getting a crack at a final in home visit.

Lot of drama involved here.

Good thing Archie is holding Dawson's attention so he's not watching the game aiina?

So Archie and Penney got in home visits today. And it doesn't look like Wojo has. Or will. Doesn't look good I think.

It's all part of the recruiting game. Not sure how it looks but the fact his door is still open means he is still in play.

Or it could mean he's informing each coach in person of whatever his decision. Maybe one of them got good news, maybe both got bad news. I mean, at this point what more information could Dawson be getting from an in home visit? He's had a number of in homes and gone on officials to both schools already.

Would you really have Archie and Penny fly in just to tell them no though?? You can do that over the phone or text.

I'm confused - I thought this is a dead period with no contact from coaches allowed. Apparently I'm mistaken!

The dead period ended late last week. Thursday?

He's 4 days from announcing his decision. I don't know what more the coaches are going to tell him that they haven't told him before. But I guess it's possible.

Well, one or both of the schools will get a thanks but no thanks in a few days, as long as Garcia sticks with his Nov 20 decision day. I would think he knows his choice by now.

This has gotten a bit strange because i agree with you, what is left to hear from the staffs you haven't already heard?? He's actually only 3 days from announcing, and I find it very hard to believe he doesn't have at least a good idea of where he's going by now, right?? If he doesn't, I worry that he will end up making the wrong decision, regardless of what it is. Things should be crystal clear by now, I would think.

There seems to be nothing I could find about a Minnesota visit today or even tomorrow(unless something comes out tomorrow). So is it really down to Memphis and IU?? Or as you say, did he meet with them to tell them thanks but I'm not coming?? Think it will be pretty telling one way or another if we don't hear about an MU visit tomorrow. The only question is...what is it telling us??

But, have we ever heard a story of Wojo going on an in home visit this close to decision day to be told "thanks but no thanks"?? I mean it seems RJ Davis texted/called early because he didn't go on a home visit right before his decision. Although Pittsburgh did, so was that to tell them no in person?? Maybe it was..?? I just don't know that that happens all that often...telling a Coach no in person...then again but it happens more than we ever hear about.

Maybe my thinking is ass backwards, but I'm much more nervous/excited for Wednesday's news on Garcia than I was for today's game. A pretty big day for the program on Wednesday. Would be thrilled to have this kid. In any case, looking forward to seeing some new faces in the program and that's not to knock any of the kids currently on the team.

GOO

He is not having any coach fly in to tell them no in person.  That narrative should be dismissed. If that were true, then his team's heads would seem to be way big and not concerned with others time or use of resources.

It most likely means he has more questions, wants more info, and likely means he has not made up his mind, at least not 100%.

Now, a positive MU speculative spin would be that he is having the non-leaders come in, at the non-leaders request, to give it one more shot.  But I doubt that is the likely scenario.

My pure speculation is that if MU doesn't get a home visit it is not a good sign.  Unless I want to purely speculate with blue and gold (and black?) glasses on that MU leads and the others are getting a chance to refute what he learned on his last visit to MU.

Hopefully he missed the second half of the game on Sunday.  Although we sure could have used him in an MU uniform, so there is that way of looking at it. He will get plenty of opportunity next year and Wojo has proven that he is not afraid to feature a player.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

I think the only reason you send a coach for an in home this late in the process is to make a last ditch effort when you're behind or to seal up a commitment you are nervous for losing.

So basically this tells us nothing.

You know what?  He either comes here and we embrace him.  Or he doesn't and we never think of him again.  I can't even remember the names of the guys I took off the list a month ago.  Well, I have trouble remembering what I ate for dinner so there's that too.  ::)

Thank you Glow. One guy does not make a program.

As Al once said, "Son we're going to win with you or we're going to win without you."

I hope he comes to Marquette as I think combined with our current cast and some other folks Wojo is recruiting or has recruited, he could make a difference. But then again, he could be a college-level bust. It happens.

We know Penny made and in home, but are we still concluding Archie did based on a flight tracker?

No, I saw a couple reports including this one that the visit happened.

GOO, I'm looking at it this way.  DG is ready to commit to MU and has given his top runners-up one last ditch effort to change his mind.

Archie 100% did..unsure about Memphis even though it was reported they were going to.

I think it was reported that Penny was "wrapping up" a visit.  So I assume he got there.
